One of the most unique and beautiful parks in the Shawangunk Mountain ridge. Features waterfalls, lakes and spectacular cliff-edge views. A beautiful, relaxing hike up to the waterfall where you can take a cool, refreshing dip!
This is quite close by and a very quick hike into the falls area so you can get great "bang for you buck" in terms of the hike length for small legs. The trails continue on well past the falls additionally.
There are several reasons why you should wait until summer is long gone to take on this hike–the main one being that it’s currently closed due to trail construction. Because the 1.5-mile out-and-back hike is a bit off the beaten path, the pool at the top of the falls has a reputation for being the “Nudist Pool.” So prepare to maybe see some full frontal action if you head above the falls
