If you've never taken the ferry from Dartmouth to Halifax it is a great way to get views of both sides of the harbour, any ships that may be passing by and the docked military vessels that are hard to see from land. The trip only takes about 10 minutes and our 6-year old loves it. It lands in Halifax on the waterfront where there is great sight seeing, restaurants, The Maritime Museum of the Atlantic, The Art Gallery of Nova Scotia and more.

Take a ferry ride from Dartmouth to Halifax and back. For $2ish it's the best way to see the Halifax and Dartmouth waterfronts. You might even spot a seal in the harbour!
