Good shopping and cafe plus an excellent, working museum of the mill.

Cromford is known for its historical connection with Richard Arkwright, for Cromford Mill which he built outside the village in 1771 and the factory's innovations during the industrial revolution. Nowadays Cromford is a World Heritage site and the mill houses a museum and Masson Mills shopping village.
