One of my favorite place in Budapest, you can rent bike or take a small train to visit the island. It is green and there are many gardens, a small zoo, a water park etc… For sport addict, one round of the island is 5 km ( there is a running track), a must do

Huge island in the middle of the Danube in the city. It has everything for a fun day out, including a singing and dancing fountain, sprawling rose garden, mini-zoo, convent ruin, food & drink, Japanese Garden with ponds, big meadows for picnic or sports, large outdoor pools (you need to pay in to these). It’s quite a walk to go around it so nice to rent a pedal carriage, or hop on the little sightseeing train to get familiar with the area.
