The Ceredigion coastal path walk is one not to miss! Around 25mins from the cottage you’ll see Constitution Hill on the seafront which is where the walk starts and goes all the way to Borth, where you can get a train back to Aberystwyth (one stop) so you save your legs! There are several cute pubs in Borth to stop at, as well as cafes and fish n chips on the sandy beach to refuel!

HIKE THE COASTAL PATH FROM BORTH TO ABERYSTWYTH: Length: 6.5 miles Time: 3-4 hours Ascent: 1300 feet Difficulty: Moderate Leave the cottage and head down to the narrow lane through the farm towards the seafront and continue until the lane turns off right towards the seafront. Ascend the coastal path from the cove towards Aberystwyth by going up the incline on the right (facing the sea). Follow the path to constitution hill in Aberystwyth, visiting Clarach Bay along the way.

4. Coastal Path route from Borth to Aberystwyth: a lovely half-day hike (roughly 3 hours) and 5 miles. I prefer walking from Aber to Borth and catching the lovely view of the Bog and the Estuary on the final descent, but the other way’s lovely too. To begin the walk from Y Wern walk south along the beach and then up Cliff Drive to the Borth War Memorial on the top of the hill Craig Y Wylfa. Continue on this well signposted track for 5 miles. You will pass a small beach with a stone bunker on the way, there is rumoured to be a dyke stretching far out to sea under the water here – the gateway to the sunken kingdom of Cantre’r Gwaelod!
