Ouganda : locations de vacances dans des cottages

We enjoyed our stay at Geoffrey’s home. The compound is beautiful and provided a wonderful place for our children to play. The caretaker, John, was extremely helpful and provided us directions to the property. Of note, a larger vehicle is likely needed in order to get to this property as some of the roads are a bit tough to navigate. The home was clean, decorated nicely, and had everything we needed for a wonderful stay. We would absolutely stay here again if we are passing through the area. Thanks for the hospitality!

Beware! Emily is in fact a very nice man named Tony who was an absolute sweetheart. The cottages remind me of 70s LA —-all the staff are lovely too.. I don’t want to recommend this place too much so that it’s not too booked up the next time i return. A fantastic stay that hits the back of the net like Paul Gascoigne in the semis!! GERTCHA!!!!!!!! GET IN!!!!

Butterfly cottage is truly idyllic. Set within the forest with tremendous bird life all around. Easy access to knowledgeable local folks who can guide you on wonderful nature walks through the property. Less than 10 minutes from the starting point of Uganda's finest Chimp tracking location and there are a number of beautiful crater lakes nearby. Bigodi swamp and Town are also close and interesting excursions. The property owner is extremely pleasant and helpful Highly recommended for nature loves visiting this part of Uganda.

We loved our stay at Buyala Bliss! It is so lovely and peaceful. Gorgeous views of the Buyala Falls. Isaac and Claire were both very helpful and Claire is a fantastic cook! We wish we could have stayed longer but will definitely come back!

We loved staying at Fleur’s place! The photos don’t even do justice to what an incredible view of the Nile it has right outside. We came with kids who loved playing out on the patio and exploring outside. Fleur was very helpful and responsive when we had questions. The only thing to consider is that both this weekend and in my experience with other places along this road, it has a tendency to get treacherous during rainy season. Our timing was unlucky (and not at all the host’s fault!) as they’d just grated the road on a rainy day, but the upkeep on this particular road out of Jinja is often not great.

Our stay at Sunset Villa was one of the most amazing and pleasant experiences of my life. Doreka and Herbert are the most hospitable people we have ever met, they were very supportive and provided us anything we needed. Upon arrival we were greeted by lush green gardens with an assortment of fruit trees. once we entered the home the atmosphere was warm pleasant and very inviting, The interior was very beautiful, tidy, organized and the owner left us a surprise gift on our last day of a special dish .. thank you very much Doreka. The place was so peaceful and very quiet with 24 hour security protection. Overall I would rate the Sunset Villa five stars and I would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a place to stay in Uganda.

Ayele was such a great host, her place is just fantastic in all ways, quiet, peaceful, every one was helpful, everything you need was available,I relaxed ,enjoyed the lake views, felt right at home, I'd definitely go back for a longer stay. Thanks Ayele
