Welcome to Aquila Cottage which is located directly on the Hadrians Wall Path, Pennine Way and Hadrians Cycleway Route 72. The cottage is in an unparallelled location just 150 yards from "the best bit" of Hadrians Wall at Walltown Crags and directly opposite the Roman Army Museum. There is parking for 1 vehicle as well as a bus stop right (services include AD122) outside. We are perfectly located for walking, visiting the historical sites along Hadrians Wall, Lake District & Scottish Borders.

The spacious loft is the perfect place to relax after a day's sightseeing or travelling. The private entrance means the space is completely your own to relax and enjoy a bit of TV or film, or find out more about the area and it's history The main room has a comfortable king size bed, TV and seating area. All just minutes from Hadrian's Wall. Explore wonderful Northumberland, the Lake District to the West is an easy drive as is the Pennines to the South and Scotland to the North.

Hadrian's View is a converted barn on the Hadrian's Wall National Trail path offering high quality self-contained accommodation for up to 6 guests. There are two bathrooms ,wifi, a private garden with BBQ and outdoor furniture plus a real log fire. The house is located in the village of Banks, 1 mile from Lanercost Priory and 4 miles from the market town of Brampton. It is ideally located for day trips to the beaches of Northumberland, the Scottish Borders or the Lake District National Park.

Newly converted Granary to go with our other larger holiday cottage on our working farm. located for exploring Hadrians Wall or for taking a break on a long journey. There is one bedroom upstairs with a en-suite and a king bed. There is also a futon bed located in the bedroom but only limited seating if more than 2 or 3 guests are staying. Enjoy your morning coffee on the balcony or a soak in the hot tub, and watch the sun rise in the east. Cottage is small but cosy. Dogs are most welcome.

A very cosy, modern shepherds hut in an idyllic part of Northumberland. Handcrafted on site it has en-suite facilities, underfloor heating and an enclosed patio with seats and a chiminea. We have excellent walking and cycling from site. The Pennine way is a field away, two disused railway lines, Lambley viaduct and riverside walks. An ‘Amazing Spaces’ inspired shipping container conversion, set in a peaceful secluded wildlife friendly garden, at the foot of the Pennine hills. The container is a 5 minute walk from the picturesque Talkin village which has a friendly pub serving food. A woodburning stove (logs supplied) ensures the container stays cosy in all weathers. It makes an excellent base to explore Hadrian's Wall, the North Lakes and the Eden Valley.. or a perfect stop off point on your way to or from Scotland.

Cosy shepherds hut on Hadrian’s Wall

A basic and cosy shepherds hut a few minutes walk from the Hadrian’s Wall trail, tucked away on a tiny campsite (Camping at Banks), a no vehicles site where you can enjoy the sounds of nature. The hut has a wood burning stove, bottom sheets and pillows. You can hire sleeping bags from us. There is a compost loo and outside sink but no shower or electricity. The hut is suitable for those arriving by foot or bicycle - there is NO PARKING on the site. Single night stays welcome!

This delightful and cosy, single-storey, detached holiday cottage has been furnished to a high standard and has pleasant views across open countryside. It sits on the edge of the village, on the line of Hadrian’s Wall. We have taken the opportunity during the latest lockdown to have works to ext. , replacing elderly night storage heaters with oil filled electric radiators providing efficient / flexible heating, redecorated internal and look forward to welcoming guests back.
