The apartment is inside the church called "Chiesa di SAN GIOVANNI ELEMOSINARIO" one of the oldest churches in the Rialto area built in the 11th century, the only church saved from a fire that broke out in the 15th century and by 1700 it had become the priest’s house. "Il ramo di kaki" is a 120 square meters' very comfortable apartment. It was my grandparents’ summer residence during the ‘50’s. The apartment was completely renovated in 2018. It is located on the second floor of the historical house on the main street of Lido, the Gran Viale. The house keeps the original and beautiful venetian terrazzo floors and yet has all the modern comforts. “Wherever you go becomes a part of you somehow”- Anita Desai
