Downtown Arcata Studio Apartment is in a fun and lively location just a block from the Arcata Plaza overlooking a popular seafood restaurant and next door to a winery/cidery. Countless restaurants, shops, and the Arcata Co-op are within a block or two. There is free parking in our private parking lot, fast 1 gig/second Wi-fi, washer/dryer in apt, and apt is behind secure gate w/keycode. If your dates aren’t available please let us know and we can add a stay in one of our other two apts.

Forest Grotto - Enjoy our Redwood Oasis

Welcome to our secluded grotto surrounded by Redwoods! This modern and quiet space will be a perfect respite for the many reasons you may be coming to Humboldt. Along with our local craftsman, we have created an oasis that will allow you to soak up the Redwoods, listen to the birds and watch the deer graze. Walking distance to the Majestic Arcata Community forest and Cal Poly Humboldt. As Arcata natives, we wanted to bring you a unique and unforgettable Humboldt experience.

Welcome to The Wind and Tide where forest meets sea. Our newly remodeled home is situated on three acres of forested cliffside overlooking the Pacific, just north of the seaside village of Trinidad. Tranquility awaits as you take a dip in the hot tub and relax by the fire pit, soaking up the sounds of sea lions, the views of migrating whales, and sunsets and stargazing galore. Tide-pooling, agate hunting, and exploring Sue-Meg State Park is just a short drive down the road.

One bedroom guesthouse with patio/wi-fi & parking

Located in one of the earliest developments of McKinleyville. Our 710 sq. ft. attached guest house has a small fenced in yard and sits close enough to stroll down to view the ocean or take a 5 min. drive to enjoy the local Hammond hiking/bike trails, and nearby shops and restaurants. An easy trip from Arcata airport (ACV) or Hwy 101 and close access to the areas known beaches, redwood forests, lagoons and marshes to explore. Humboldt Cal Poly is located just 6 miles South.

Pilot Rock Cottage

This little cottage has a view of the ocean, is private and in a quiet neighborhood, and is great home base for exploring the local area, or just enjoying reading by the fire. The house has all that you need for a relaxing get away. We lived in this home for several years and therefore it has all that you need such as a full kitchen, linens, washer/dryer, etc. We now provide WiFi. We also take COVID-19 seriously and ask that you observe all recommended precautions.

Rock Rose Cottage, Cozy & Peaceful

THE HOUSE The cottage sits in a peaceful residential neighbor hood a stones throw from the cliffs of moonstone beach, perfect for those seeking a still, quiet location that is just minutes from the beach including a vigorous hike down from the cottage to the ocean along a public road. A highly intentional space, created to accommodate restoration on a cellular level. Foraged antiques and modern amenities make the Rock Rose Cottage feel both cozy and restoring.

Popeye's Cottage in the Redwoods

Keep it simple at this peaceful and centrally-located place. This cozy cottage is nestled on four and a half acres of beautiful second growth redwoods just outside the town of Trinidad. It is a small and simple cottage with three beds and all the necessities needed to cook. The cottage's main heat source is a gas fireplace. WIFI service is available, there is no tv/entertainment center, so bring your laptop if you want to.

Redwood Grove Cottage

Charming, affordable house all to yourself set in a small redwood grove. Nearest neighbor 200ft away through forest. 15 min walk to Trinidad on a country lane. Queen bed in master, comfortable twin bunk beds in tiny second bedroom (adults ok in bunks if less than ~180lb). Bonus playroom/office. Well-stocked kitchen and laundry. Level 2 electric car charging outlet (NEMA 14-50). Well behaved pets ok.

Trinidad Bluff House - panoramic, whitewater view

Secluded bluff-top house on a private lane has ocean views up and down the coast. The cottage is perfect for a quiet retreat or a family vacation. Look for whales from the 40-foot living room, check out the surfers, or watch nesting seabirds on the rocks below. (All photos are taken from the house.) Fall asleep to sounds of the surf. Walk to pristine beaches.

Sylvan Harbor Cabin 2

Built in the 1940s, Cabin 2 has been modestly updated but maintains a rustic, rough-around-the-edges feel. There are some eccentricities, such as the cabin bedrooms have curtain closures. It has all the essentials for an extended stay. It is cozy, clean and functional providing a nice, quiet base for relaxing and enjoying the local beauty.

Seclusion at its best! Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. There is no place quite like it! Surround yourself in nature, sun, trees and flowers in a cozy, custom gingerbread house with all the comforts of home and cabin-like feel. Set among the trees and quiet yet close to town and beaches. You’ll love your escape to our tiny house! (387 square feet of main floor space plus loft). It is a modern, clean, secluded retreat located in a forested area of a quiet neighborhood between Cal Poly Humboldt in Arcata and scenic coastlines and majestic redwoods. 2025 update: all new staircase for easier access to the loft.
