The ground floor consists: entrance hall; lounge with wood burning stove, & TV; well equipped kitchen; utility room with washing m/c and toilet. Upstairs: two bedrooms (1 kingsize & 1 double bed) bathroom with bath & separate shower. The cottage has gas central heating.

A beautiful beach on the Solway Coast is only 12 miles away.

The Barn is a beautifully refurbished retreat in a quiet corner of the Lake District National Park. Built in c.1870 as part of How Farm, The Barn is a very comfortable self-contained space which sleeps two adults and two children. It has a small garden, unique open living space incorporating the kitchen and lounge, lobby, shower room and large bedroom. The Barn is in a countryside location yet gives easy access to all the North West Lakes and the lesser known but very scenic West Coast.

An ideal base for exploring the Western Lake District and Cumbrian Coast. It is surrounded by scenic walks and activities. It is close to St Bees coast to coast walk too. Entrance is directly into the studio accommodation, consisting of a well fitted kitchen, dining facilities for two, and a comfortable compact sitting/sleeping area. Armchairs give way across the room to a wrought iron double-bed. There is a separate shower room with WC and washbasin.
