My second week staying here, Jorge & his mom are the BEST hosts!!! Never any issue with communication (very fast!), always willing to answer questions. This place is GORGEOUS!!! If you are not familiar with this type of area, it will look like your renting a concrete box - do NOT let the exterior fool you! Behind those walls are beautiful landscapes, very quiet, very private and super safe! It's very safe to walk, very peaceful, you have conveniences nearby (Sam's club, Walmart, grocery, convenience market, restaurants, pharmacy, etc.). The place is as pictured, so much space inside and outside! We did not want to leave this beautiful paradise! Our taxi driver commented when pulling up, this is a very expensive and very nice neighborhood! Don't wait, book this place , you'll be glad you did!

Great day short taxi ride to so many things beaches, etc. poncho helped us every step of the way, answered all our questions. I would definitely stay here again and I highly recommend the place.

I 100% recommend La Casa de Los Abuelos! Alberto and Armando are the most kind, friendly, helpful and generous hosts! The house.. well I cannot express how happy we are to have stayed 1 month! This traditional home has a full large kitchen, including 6 burner gas stove with oven and an outside BBQ 😋. My husband and I are slow travelers and LOVE cooking for ourselves. We easily walked to the public market to purchase all foods required and easily had everything (and more) to prepare our meals! Everything is thought of when providing guests with a home. The beds and air conditioning is very comfortable. The 2 full sized bathrooms are more beautiful and larger than our own home!! Seriously, Armando, who lives in the area, is made himself available and is so friendly and kind - we always, everyday are very happy! A very quiet and restful residential area, easy to walk to the malecon, Walmart, Galleries shopping mall, restaurants C 59, the baluartes walls, museums-- so many things!

The house and amenities are good. The location requires a car to move around. It is a nice residential community. Not many businesses near by. Preferable to arrive during the day and not at night. It is very lonely. But we were able to move around well because the proximity to the beach and other tourists places. Overall it was a very good experience. Cristian and his crew were great.

Can't say enough great things about this place! The location was great-it was close to the malecon, and also has a couple small bodegas close by in addition to the Chedraui market in walking distance for bigger grocery trips. The patio area was great for morning coffee, and hanging out at the pool in the afternoons if we didn't feel like being at the beach all day. Kurt was great! He explained everything we needed to know at check-in, and his recommendations were spot-on! If our travels bring us back to Progreso, we would stay here again in a heartbeat!

This place was amazing. There are a lot of pot holes but the stay was amazing. Felt safe the whole time and was close to both sides the beach zone and the city where the locals are. Will definitely be staying here again. The staff is amazing as well.

Casa Leila was absolutely perfect! The house is beautiful, clean, and quiet. It's just steps from the beach and so peaceful — exactly what we were hoping for. Roger was a fantastic host, always responsive, helpful, and ensured we had everything we needed for a great stay. We felt entirely at home for the 8 nights we stayed. If you're looking for a relaxing getaway in Chuburna, Casa Leila is the place. We can't wait to come back!

I cannot understate how amazing our stay was. The place was gorgeous and Tania was a gracious and generous host. She offered us delicious tacos and guac and we had a very fun evening.

My husband and I and our two kids had a fabulous spring break stay at ARKAH in Akumal. It was our first time taking our kids to Mexico and this spot was perfect for our family. The kids loved the pool right outside our doors and we loved the lush vegetation and tropical surroundings. The hosts were incredibly responsive and helpful, and provided detailed information on recommendations for dining and activities. There’s a lot to do just around Akumal - from snorkeling with sea turtles to swimming in cenotes and the ocean, to visiting a monkey sanctuary and even the Mayan ruins in Tulum nearby. Very helpful to have a car - we rented one and it was a definite must for getting around easily. Overall great trip and we will certainly stay here again!

Sehr sauber und gemütlich! In der Nähe gibt es Tavernen und Aktivitäten wie Ziplining und Cavetubing, sowie schnelle Anbindung zum Belize Zoo. Ich durfte auf Anfrage sogar später auschecken! Immer gut erreichbar! Alles super!

We had a lovely stay at Fem and Thomas’. Thomas was there to greet us, as was their helper, Dory. The suite was beautiful and comfortable with great air conditioning and everything we needed for a couple of days. It’s out of town but only a 3 minute walk to the Zamna festival and right across the highway from Cenote Corazon. There was also a fruit stand with awesome local produce only a two minute walk away. We didn’t have a car so had to take taxis to get into town but it was an easy walking distance to a couple of little Mexican restaurants in Aldea and the perfect place to stay if you’re heading to Zamna for a night of dancing! The garden itself was beautiful and they had the two sweetest little ranch pups!

We loved every minute of our stay at Daniels place. The apartment is lovely and has all you need for an incredible stay! The area Aldea Zama is for the sure the best area to stay when visiting Tulum. The apartment is a few minutes walk from the beach and supermarket. Daniel provided us with great local recommendations and communication was perfect. Thank you for hosting us, Daniel!

Marilyn and Salony took care of our party of 7 women and were amazing! Anything that we wanted or needed was taken care of. Marilyn booked a private snorkel trip to Hol Chan Marine Reserve and Shark Alley and we were picked up on our own dock. Marilyn kept in touch with me for the year that we had booked in advance. She was there for us at the airport on arrival and took the Coconut Cafe Ferry with us to the house to get us settled in. She also made sure we got back to the airport with our luggage upon return. We had rented a golf cart, although its not 100% necessary since the Ferry comes directly to San Pedro and much is walkable. She can arrange cabs or give you the phone number of a trusted driver. Coconut Cafe is walkable to the Villa, but be sure not to miss Akasha, which is at Anuna Resort on the same island. If you reserve, they will pick you up by boat and bring you back at no charge. The Villa had everything we needed and we enjoyed having a private pool. Would Recommend!

Our extended family of ten stayed very comfortably in this lovely house. We enjoyed the space, the comfortable furniture, great snorkeling, and a lovely meal made by Jerry and Isabella. The house was as pictured, we found it peaceful, safe, and private. We loved sitting on the beach, and found the kitchen well supplied.
