The cottage is a traditional 19th-century detached croft cottage perched on the hillside with far-reaching views up and down the Kyle of Sutherland to the hills beyond. It's a very homely cottage surrounded by its own garden offering peace and seclusion in a stunning setting and it's an ideal central location for exploring the NC500 as well as providing an opportunity to spot the local wildlife. Deer, salmon, pine marten, red squirrels and numerous bird species can all be seen close by.

One up from camping. enjoy the beauty and simplicity of the Strath Oykel scenery. A gas stove and a loo with a view. The Bothy benefits from a fire pit to enjoy sundowners and northern lights from, looking onto a loch. There is also a log burner for those chillier evenings. Bring drinking water and food. Everything else should be there.

The Old Schoolhouse

Starting life as the school for the few local children back in the early 20th Century, the Old Schoolhouse was converted into a modest family home by our grandparents in 1962. They lived in this remote and beautiful part of Scotland during the spring and summer months and we would visit them every year in our school holidays. We have the best memories of our times spent at the Old Schoolhouse, it truly is a magical place and one we hope to now be able to share with others.

The Coach House at Manse House

Make some memories at this unique and friendly place. Originally the Coach House of the 18th century listed Manse House, the property was sympathetically converted in 2004. The property lies in the gardens of the Manse in central Tain. It has great access to the main visitor attractions of the Eastern Highlands and makes a great place to relax or to use as a comfortable spot from which to explore the Highlands. Pets are welcome. One of our pods named after our dogs. Take a seat on the deck with a cuppa or a glass and watch the world go by.
