The Grant Park Farmhouse- Authentic Southern Charm

Make breakfast under the gabled ceiling of a pristine kitchen boasting vintage 1940s Youngstown kitchen cabinets. Combining white wood shiplap, oak scrap hardwood floors, and powder blue accents, this gorgeous home is steeped in historic charm. Expect to enjoy the natural light gleaning through the beautiful stained-glass windows. A rusted tin roof tops off this charmer, but it's the rainy nights where the rusted tin truly speaks to you. The farmhouse is a replica of what you see when driving through the beautiful rural Georgia landscape. Many of the old boards on the exterior were removed from a old home just south of Atlanta built during the civil war. The rest of the exterior came from an old cotton mill and a two room school house built in the early 1900's. It also has a tin roof that is most enjoyable during those rainy nights. The interior walls have all ship lap and bead board siding. The kitchen boasts an old wash board sink with matching metal cabinets from the 1940's. The bathroom has a old stain glass window and an authentic distressed medicine cabinet. The living area has two more stain glass windows and distressed oak floor throughout. It has a king size bed and a full couch for comfort. The exterior has one small upstairs porch and a sitting area down near the stairs entrance. The house is at the dead end of an ally and not near any major intersections. This makes the space quiet for an urban setting. Even though the house was made to appear old, it has many of the amenities you would want in a newly constructed house such as a tank-less water heater for those long hot showers, and spray foam insulation for comfort. There is one flight of stairs to reach access. We will have the space ready for you when you arrive but will respect your privacy. Our main home and the farm house share a lot so if something is needed we are not far away. The farmhouse is privately tucked behind the main house on a private drive with it’s own entrance and parking. Coffee shops, restaurants, The Atlanta Zoo, Atlanta Beltline, historic Grant Park, Georgia State Stadium and the Eventide Brewery are all within walking distance. Close attractions include, Centennial Olympic Park, World Congress Center, Mercedes Benz Stadium, World of Coke, Fox Theater, Phillips Arena, Ponce City Market and Georgia Aquarium all less than 2 miles.

Located in the Historic Roswell Mill neighborhood. House backs up to an overlooks Big Creek and the covered bridge over the creek. Walking distance to Roswell square as well as Canton street. Full kitchen, Washer and dryer, Queen sized bed, pull out sofa in the living room. Sit outside and enjoy the sounds of the rushing water or take a hike on the trails directly behind the property. There is a basement unit with its own private entrance. Each unit is separate and there are no shared spaces

Join us at The Architect's Cottage a peaceful relaxing place. Located on exclusive Bishop Lake only 5 minutes to Marietta and Roswell. 9 miles to the Sandy Springs MARTA station and the Braves Battery is 7 miles away. Walkable restaurants and shopping in Roswell is less than a 5 minute ride. Rest and relax, this cozy cottage is your own. Enjoy an evening watching the sunset over the lake. It's super hot here in August, but I have lowered our rates to get you to stay for August!

PLEASE NOTE BEFORE BOOKING: This is a cozy Cottage, less than 600 sq ft, equivalent to the size of a 2 car garage. 4 people is the max capacity and it is ideal for 2 adults. I am sorry I cannot permit service dogs. I have a family member with a life-threatening allergy to dogs/cats who stays here when they visit me. I have to keep the environment completely free of dander. One (1) car is permitted to park on the right side of the driveway. Checkout the “House Manual” for more details.
