Our historic cottage is nestled on the side of the dramatic Shibden valley, famous as the home of Ann Lister, 'Gentleman Jack'. Shibden View offers luxury, self-catering accommodation for up to four adults. Situated on the cobbled Hough, our recently renovated, 18th century building boasts two en-suite bedrooms, a fully fitted kitchen/diner and a cosy , first floor lounge with panoramic views over Shibden Hall and estate. This beautiful 2 bedroom stone-built cottage offers a comfortable stay in the charming World Heritage Site of Saltaire, which is full of history, character and stunning architecture. The village is named after Sir Titus Salt who built a textile mill, known as Salts Mill and this village on the River Aire back in the 1800s. There are many reasons why you should visit Saltaire from the spectacular architecture, to the independent shops and restaurants scattered around the village.

Relax with the whole family at this peaceful place to stay with great views and public footpaths, Close to Leeds and Bradford City centres and nearby town Cleckheaton and motorway links within 2 miles. The static caravan sleeps 2 Adults and 2 children with a fully functioning open plan kitchen and bathroom with a shower it has full central heating. We welcome Small to medium dogs but please note we don't allow them to be left unattended but we have no issues with pet crates.

Ridings Cottage is attached to the owners historic, victorian home with connections to the Bronte sisters. It is self contained with one spacious bedroom which has a very comfortable double bed and a pull out sofa bed. We are close to Dewsbury Hospital with easy access to Leeds, Huddersfield and Wakefield. M1 and M62 motorway links. We have made the cottage as comfortable as possible to ensure you enjoy your stay.

The house is part of the utopian vision of Saltaire created by Sir Titus to create a community village to house and support the mill workers.
