Hawkhow Cottage, Glenridding

Hawkhow Cottage compromises four bedrooms and sleeps seven comfortably or eight cosily. Upstairs you will find three bedrooms (one King, one double and one twin) and a bathroom. Downstairs there is an additional bedroom (small double), a shower room and a traditional Aga-warmed kitchen. The glass and oak-framed extension provides a large living room with log burning stove and a galleried dining area. The property will be prepared ready for your arrival with freshly laundered bed linen and bath towels supplied for your stay. We have provided a selection of games, puzzles and toys to keep you entertained inside (and the optional use of a TV and Xbox One) as well as books, maps and guides to help you plan your activities outside. There is ample parking on-site. Guests also have shared use of the main house’s extensive gardens and grounds, including the sauna. Please note that the garden is steep with drop-offs in places, it has a number of steps and paths that can be extremely slippery, as well as running water courses, ponds and bridges. As well as having Ullswater on your doorstep for sailing, kayaking and wild swimming, there are a number of fabulous walks and bicycle rides that can be started from the cottage without ever needing to get into your car. Keen walkers can even start the climb to Helvellyn by walking up the garden to join recognised footpaths. Glenridding is a beautiful 15 minute walk along the Lake and provides a number of cafes, pubs and shops as well as access to the famous Ullswater Steamers. A slightly longer walk along the Lake in the opposite direction will take you past Glencoyne Bay, the inspiration for William Wordsworth’s ‘Daffodils’ poem, to the popular Aira Force waterfall and trails maintained by the National Trust.

Our 17th century farm workers cottage has been renovated to provide modern accommodation whilst keeping its traditional character. 20 mins walk from the village of Ennerdale Bridge, with 2 excellent pubs & a cafe. Many walks and cycle routes from the cottage doorstep. Situated very close to Ennerdale Water & the C2C and wainwright coast to coast routes. Easy access to western fells and solway coast.

The Barn, Mosser - For 2 adults and 1 child.

The Barn is a beautifully refurbished retreat in a quiet corner of the Lake District National Park. Built in c.1870 as part of How Farm, The Barn is a very comfortable self-contained space which sleeps two adults and two children. It has a small garden, unique open living space incorporating the kitchen and lounge, lobby, shower room and large bedroom. The Barn is in a countryside location yet gives easy access to all the North West Lakes and the lesser known but very scenic West Coast.

West view is a luxury property located directly on Nethertown beach. It is in a tranquil area with amazing sea views. It has a dog friendly beach, is great for fishing, has lots of wildlife and has the most stunning sunsets. In winter, enjoy cosy evenings with the fire lit. An ideal base for exploring the Western Lake District and Cumbrian Coast. It is surrounded by scenic walks and activities. It is close to St Bees coast to coast walk too. Cosy two bedroom holiday let set on a working Herdwick sheep farm situated in the picturesque Wasdale valley within the Lake District National Park. The cottage is set on the shores of Wastwater and so offers stunning views of the lake and the surrounding hills. It is the perfect starting point for numerous Wainwright walks.
