The snug had everything we needed for a relaxing break. There were lots of extras such as prosecco and easter eggs. It is also dog friendly which is a big plus for us. We were lucky to see red squirrels and food is provided in the snug to attract them onto the decking area.

Absolutely loved our stay here. Pictures do not do this place justice, easily one of the nicest if not the nicest AirBnb I’ve ever stayed in. Great amenities for 4 adults and a big big hot tub! It was so peaceful being able to look out of the windows / decking and watch the wildlife too. Can’t wait to revisit, thankyou!

Absolutely loved our stay here! Extremely peaceful and relaxing location. Great if you’re needing an escape from the hustle and bustle of every day life. Accommodation was immaculate and fully kitted. Would definitely recommend, and will definitely be back. It has became a special place for myself, and my partner.

Fabulous family break. Peaceful site, immaculate accommodation, and excellent communication from Martin. He managed to give us an early check in without us asking, and messaged us to let us know. Great place to stay. Stayed at Pod 3, amazing view of the river, arrived very late and Catherine had the hot tub and pod all warmed up for our late arrival. Although the pod doesn’t get hot as such, hot water bottles were provided and a big fire pit was readily available. Failing that, a hot shower or a dip in the hot tub . Fantastic two nights away, will definitely be coming back!

It was a really good stay for my girlfriend’s birthday. She was very helpful. I’d never used air bnb before. And arranged this last minute.

We had a fabulous time at Kate’s place. Kate was very attentive and polite. The cabin itself was immaculately presented and had immense attention to detail throughout. The location was second to none, lovely and quiet set in private grounds yet only a 15 min drive to Penrith and surrounding areas. The wood burning hot tub was also lovely and an amazing added bonus. We will 100% return.

After reading previous reviews, we came to Herdy Lodge with high expectations and I must say even these were exceeded massively! The location is beautiful, both the farm itself and the surrounding area. The lodge was everything we could want, spacious, modern and spotlessly clean. Hats off to Alison and Andrew, they really were fantastic hosts. From fresh farm eggs and goodies on arrival to bring super accommodating with any and all requests. I cannot rate them highly enough. Thank you for the most wonderful stay we would love to return when the weather is more on our side!

Amazing place to stay, we took 3 of our dogs and our son. Hot tub, amazing children’s play area, trampoline, swings, seesaw, 20+ go carts with track, play obstacle course, climbing frame, slide, basketball hoops and football nets. The pictures on the advert are outdated and don’t show the go cart track. A brilliant field specifically for walking the dogs, not fully secure due to gaps under the gate but great for dogs who will ignore sheep. Lovely pod with everything we could have needed, hot tub lovely and warm, amazing views. Picnic bench and parking space. Lots of towels available, comfy bed and pillows. Complimentary bottle of Prosecco, eggs and biscuits. Very happy with our stay! We went to The bridge end inn for tea, 2 nights in a row!! The food was absolutely fantastic, well priced but quality fresh cooked food. Booking is a must as they were very busy.

Great cabin in beautiful grounds. It had everything we needed, an amazing shower, a great log burner with some logs available, everything we needed in the kitchen, comfortable beds and great outdoor areas to relax in. Hosts were warm, welcoming, very helpful and responsive to needs. Would definitely recommend!

Fantastic set up with stunning views. The pods are very cosy and comfortable. In agreement with other reviews. My wife and two daughters loved our two night stay here and were lucky enough to visit with perfect blue skies. Would highly recommend.

Helen kindly upgraded us to their larger accommodation as it was empty and we were cycling the C2C and it had been a cold and drizzly day so she took pity on us! Helen was very helpful letting us know the best places to pick up food en route and even offered to pick up some heavy stuff for us during her shop. Thank you Helen for being so thoughtful!

Caravan was immaculate and had everything you needed. Was really homely and cosy. Nice short walk into town which had lovely dog friendly places to eat and drink. The hill going up to the caravan was very slippy as it had been raining, i had slipped on wet moss going out one morning so just to warn people to be mindful of this. Would definately return as we had a lovely stay.

Rob, I can’t thank you more mate the best experience I’ve had in a lifetime such a amazing place to stay, such a hidden gem the price needs to be doubled then doubled again for the value of this beauty. Carole and the team were just great - from start to finish they were friendly, welcoming and clearly worked as a big family! The park is beautiful, peaceful and ideal whether fishing for the weekend or getting away from noise and tech with the family or a loved one. Heather cleans the pods and vans immaculately and the recommendations for walks and places to go were helpful and made for a much needed relaxing weekend. Will definitely visit again. Had an absolutely beautiful stay, thank you very much for everything, the place is very peaceful and the sheep and cows are very curious! Even though they were really busy running the farm they made us feel like their top priority. The sky was absolutely unreal, very dark so we could see so much more, a beautiful location and perfect hosts. Would absolutely stay again.

A lovely little cabin! Felt extremely welcomed and really enjoyed the experience of being on a working farm. Just remember that you need £1 coins for the showers. We'll definitely be back!

We had a fantastic time at Garthside this weekend. It was perfect - lovely clean accommodation with everything we needed and more. The views are lovely but the best thing is the wood fired hot tub which was the highlight of the weekend. We spent many hours in it and the novelty of the wood burner made it fun to use. We made use of the fire pit and the on-site logs and charcoal for a BBQ. For anyone visiting the area, I’d recommend the Howard Arms in Brampton which is lovely for drinks in the courtyard garden and the food menu looks good (even though we didn’t eat out this time round). The Star Anise Indian takeaway was fantastic and they delivered to Garthside and rang us once they had parked in the car park. I’d recommend a 10 minute drive to Talkin’ Tarn too. A lovely natural lake that we rented a rowing boat on, which was only £12 for half an hour. Really fun. Thanks again for the lovely stay at Garthside and we’re looking forward to returning in the future.

An amazing place with the most fantastic views and so very peaceful. It was the perfect place to head out to climb Scafell from as the hot tub was a welcome luxury after the day. We will be staying again.

Great location for the quieter side of the Lakes. Easy walk into Cockermouth.Lots to do and see in the area. As a solo traveller this was ideal. Bed very comfy..I actually slept really well. Caravan park was quiet. Jack was on hand if any issues. Had a great stay.

This is one of the best couple nights I’ve been away to, the cabin was extremely tidy and was like brand new, the bed was really comfy and the sofa was very comfy everything just fit nicely and was easy to keep on top of, the hot tub was great and didn’t have any problems with it at all and had a great view to look out to. I would definitely recommend going here. Angie was absolutely lovely she gave you a nice warm welcoming up on arrival and recommended some really nice places to go to. And if there was any problems or anything she’ll be right there whenever needed

Fir Tree Lodge was located in a perfect spot for our planned activities in the Northern Lakes. A beautiful lodge, pristinely clean and comfortable, perfect for the family and our pooch. Andrea and Jacqui were very responsive and helpful. Highly recommended!
