Tano’s place is centrally located in Santa Monica and near many of the main attractions. His place is exactly as described and he is incredibly responsive.

Right on the ocean was expected, but the beach disappears during high tide. Was quiet for being right on the PCH but that is Malibu. Staff was responsible and fixed a minor issue as soon as the daytime staff arrived. All-round good stay...

My overall 5 star review of this listing is for Peter and his attentiveness and willingness to help and be available to us when we needed. However, I’ve also shared some details worth noting. Pros of the apartment: -location and walkability to restaurants and markets (Trader Joe’s is around the corner and same with Target) - two side by side underground and secure parking. -Great value for location. Cons of the apartment: - very thin walls. Can hear everything. - street noise as unit faces 6th Street. - bedrooms have no black outs so lots of light coming in early (great if you’re an early riser!)

M.'s place on the canal was magical. Great location with fun decor including a wonderful book selection and a cozy, relaxing atmosphere. Very clear instructions to find the place and had no issues getting in. Secure space and having the parking spot was a huge bonus! The kitchen had the essential items for cooking and bathroom was clean and had plenty of towels. The heating and cooling worked awesome and was very quiet for sleeping at night. Really walkable area, especially around the canals and to Venice, Santa Monica, the beach, restaurants, grocery and Abbot Kinney. We really enjoyed our stay, thanks M.!

I think one of the strongest points of this Airbnb is the location, although you have to navigate windy roads, you find yourself at the very top of Malibu; the epic views and peaceful vibe make it well worth the drive. The Airbnb sits beneath the main house; although it is private, you are not detached. I had no issue as the host Nicholas is a wonderful man, a great communicator, and was very helpful. A blissful stay for me!

Genuine mid-Century California bungalow done out in authentic local style. The space is airy, homely and designed and furnished with impeccable taste sympathetic to the architecture and setting. What can’t quite be conveyed by the listing are the lovely finer details and casual yet curated vibe. The complex is of a number of similar units and I was treated to visits from the many cats and dogs living here which was an unexpected bonus not mentioned on the listing :) The courtyard the unit faces onto is so pretty, the parking space was very convenient and the location right where you want to be. The check-in and check-out instructions were very comprehensive, cleanliness beyond question and Sean highly responsive as a host. Without hesitation I will be booking this place next time I am in LA.

We had a lovely stay in this thoughtfully planned out space! Julie pays attention to detail! The views are outstanding! Peaceful retreat but close enough to drive into Malibu. Everything you need in the compact space! Will keep this on my revisit list! Loved the binder of local beaches and hikes, we enjoyed checking a few locations out.

Mr./Ms. Pierce has always been quick to respond to enquiries and messages. The room was spacious, open and very clean with a stylish interior. The kitchen, bathroom and other wet areas were kept clean. Mr./Ms. Pierce was very kind and the room was satisfactory, which made our stay more enjoyable. Thank you so much! Our family enjoyed our stay and felt right at home. Everything was as pictured in the description. The apartment was very clean and walkable to Trader Joe’s, Target and all kinds of restaurants. We are grateful to the owner and staff. They went above and beyond to help us out when we needed to add an additional day to our stay due to an emergency. Unfortunately, the apartment was already booked so the staff found us another place just two blocks away. The owner was also very flexible with our check out due to our situation. We would definitely book this place again.

This was the perfect spot for our four-day trip! Beats a hotel room by a million points. The laundry is key! The hosts provided beach and shower towels which was great. We even got to check in a couple hours early by coordinating with the hosts in advance. street parking can be hit or miss but we got lucky most of the time and parked within 1 block. Literally 5 mins walk down the block, across the boardwalk and you’re on the beach. Westminster also has some cute places to eat between the apt and the beach - Charlie’s Deli does a good sandwich, the pupusa place is great, and the juice bar did awesome smoothies and açaí bowls.

Great place to stay for the week. Joesph was quick to respond to any questions that we had and was one of the cleanest places I’ve stayed in.

Fabulous experience, Julie was an excellent host, very communicative and sweet. The pool and gardens are stunning, plus the jacuzzi was a lovely addition. The house itself was a little bit dark, but had all the necessary amenities, including a working kitchen - and the beautiful gardens more than made up for this. Lovely little spot nestled in the Topanga hills with walks and trails very close by - great if you are travelling with doggies!

I had a wonderful stay at Victor's place in Ventura. It is in a quiet neighborhood just steps to the beach with several restaurants and shops within walking distance - Duke's in particular was a great place with good food and local flavor. The beds were comfortable and the backyard space was a real treat. I would definitely stay here again.

It was home away from home from the moment we walked in--peaceful, comfortable, light and airy, open floor plan, tasteful decor and spotlessly clean. Rajvir is always an amazing host and we were fortunate to stay in one of her places again. The neighborhood is perfect for walking with gorgeous landscaping and the on site work out facility is an added bonus.

Although the place was obviously older, they did a great job with decorating it and updating it. Jason was great and very responsive during the stay as well.

We had a good stay at Robert’s place, which was clean, comfortable, and roomy. It’s in a condo community just across from a very walkable shopping district, and within driving and even walking distance to everything you might need — a Whole Foods, Target, Sprouts, Trader Joe’s, and both fast casual and more sit-downy restaurant options. The condo community itself has ample parking and amenities like a pool and gym, as described. Robert himself was responsive, communicative, and friendly as a host, which we truly appreciated.

Carpinteria is a gem. We've come for a week from the Bay Area every year for the last 35 years. Our kids grew up with it. The town never gets dull or run down, and never gets cool and hip. It's frozen in time, and that's why we love it. We've stayed in this unit ever since our kids moved on, i.e. for the last 15 years. The king-size bed is unusual for Carpinteria, and the private patio is great for windy days. The beach is literally a 4-minute walk. We've never had issues with loud neighbors; many live there year-round, and the expectation is for privacy and quiet. The rate is not low, but it's on a par with other units in the area, and its proximity to a great beach and relaxing vacation makes it a very worthwhile investment for us.
