Hang Out in the Backyard Hammock at an Eclectic Abode

While away chilled evenings under the illuminated pergola at this spacious 1930s getaway an easy walk from downtown. Lounge on the deck while dipping your feet in the masterfully constructed stock tank pool. This characterful space blends a rustic wooden bench and gold-hued velvet armchair with vintage-look glass lighting. We love our home! Sleeps 4 comfortably. Brick house from the 1930s, with updated fixtures. Great for football or graduation weekends. There are bars, coffee shops and restaurants in the very near vicinity. A quick walk downtown as well. For a 5th guests, there is a queen-sized blow up mattress under the guest bed. Extra sheets, pillows and blankets are in the closet. We have a large backyard with a 10X20 foot pergola for eating outside. There is also a Big Green Egg for those who liked to grill. Guests have access to the entire house except for a small studio/office where we store our belongings when we are away. Guests will be given access to the house via a code to the front door keypad. Housekeeper makes sure that everything is in order for you arrival. If there are any issues or questions, just give me a text or email. Normaltown is the new hotspot in Athens. There are several good bars, restaurants, and coffee shops all within walking distance. This is a very safe area with lots of people out and about on their bikes, with their kids, and walking their dogs. About 3 blocks from the Athens transit and UGA bus stop. $5 Uber to downtown, five points and most of central Athens. On nice days we walk downtown in about 25 minutes. For dinner I recommend Uber/Lyft instead of driving to downtown, even if you are not planning on having a drink, as parking can be hard to find at night, and you may end up paying more than what you would have for the round trip with Uber or Lyft. Dogs are welcome. The backyard is completely fenced in and we have a doggie-door for medium sized dogs.

Southern Comfort-Rest relax enjoy the Classic City

Southern Comfort is a sunlit basement walkout apt with a country feel minutes from downtown Athens and UGA. Private parking and patio to enjoy the charm of the solitude. Lots of space to enjoy outdoors with friends!! Internet, streaming services provided. Kitchen fitted with everything you would need to cook or just prepare a cup of coffee in the mornings and includes laundry area. This house has two bedrooms, eat-in kitchen, covered front porch and back deck. Wonderful neighborhood restaurants and yoga studio, and school with playground are just a block away. This is the perfect place to stay for friends, couples and families. Mature, well-behaved dogs (2 max) are allowed for an additional fee of $50, or $100 per week for longer stays.

Take a morning walk down the sidewalk to local coffee shop and bakery, affordable or fancy dinner and lunch options available within two blocks. Our backyard is connected to a 6 acre wooded park. Oconee County is the "ArtLand of Georgia." We are centrally located for OCAF events, arts and crafts, and antiques, a bicycler's paradise. 10 minute drive to Athens/UGA, 40 minutes to Lake Oconee.

Our cozy, 1950’s cottage is within steps of UGA’s campus and is perfect for game days, college visits, wedding guests, or a weekend getaway to the Classic City. It’s only a half a mile walk to Sanford Stadium, which makes it the perfect spot for football season. The home is less than a mile from downtown Athens and a mile from Five Points. Complete with stone paths and terraced landscaping, the large backyard is shaded by a canopy of oak trees.
