There is no beach access from the property but we're just a short walk to the Alders Beach which offers long stretches of sand for walking, swimming and exploring tidal pools. Nordic/snowshoe/hiking trails are a short 5-min drive. Enjoy the parkade with option to trickle charge your EV or the private BBQ on the deck; store your gear in the secure storage room while you plan your evening visit to the hot tub or a movie to watch on the flat screen with surround sound - Bear Paws has it all!

Cumberland Coach House

Welcome to your cozy retreat in Cumberland! The Cumberland Coach House is a brand new, second story, self contained unit. We are family friendly, and we have all the kitchen utensils/cooking tools to make your stay comfortable. The Cumberland Coach house has air conditioning for those warm summer days. Located in the heart of Cumberland. It is a 3 minute walk to the main street where all the restaurants and the brewery is located. The best mountain biking trails are a 2 minute bike ride away!

This beautifully appointed apartment provides all the comforts of home in a rural setting. Five minutes from Deep Bay Harbour, we are private and backed by parkland and mountains. Close to Hornby Island, Qualicum, Mount Washington; nearby village of Bowser has a grocery, coffee shop and liquor store. Located between Courtenay & Parksville; we are 15 minutes to Denman Island Ferry, 20 minutes to Qualicum Beach & 2.5 hours from Tofino. We also offer the use of two pelican kayaks for rental.

It is well suited for a maximum of 2 people as it is fitted with a new and comfortable Queen bed. Enjoy the comforts and amenities that the suite offers such as TV, Keurig coffee machine, mini fridge and WiFi. NOTE that no window covers are in place, bring your eye masks for sleeping.

Watch for whales as you brew your morning espresso and plan your adventure. Take a walk to the amazing Seal Bay Park trails nearby or head out to explore the local beaches and mountains. Entrance is via your own private keyless entrance with ample parking right out front.

The walk-on beach is lovely, the view is breathtaking, from summer heat to winter storms, it is peaceful, serene and some days the sound of the surf, eagles and herons are all you hear. There are many excursions close by including mountain biking, skiing, fishing, boating and hiking. The Valley is nature personified and Kye Bay is a jewel - the breath of sea air in the morning is worth the visit for sure!

For those who enjoy hikes or mountain biking, Mount Geoffrey Nature Park is also situated right behind the property up Slade Road.

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway with incredible ocean views, nestled right on the shore at Bates Beach. Wake up to the sounds of the waves and enjoy the sunsets and sea lions from your private balcony. It’s the perfect spot for a sunrise or sunset dip! We also have an outdoor picnic table where you can enjoy your meals, and a fire pit. Please note: our unit is accessible via one flight of stairs.

Terrace Seaview Apartment

Located in a quiet area but close to main roads enjoy this 2nd floor suite with sea views. Close enough to the water to go for a stroll, paddle board or kayak and not too far a drive to local restaurants and shopping. Lots of mountain bike and walking trails not too far away and a 23 minute drive south of town to the Saltery Bay Ferry or 5 minute drive to the Comox Ferry.
