Windy Hall is somewhere very special. High in the Pennines it offers one of the most magnificent views in England. You may want to stay and enjoy the peace & quiet, but we are ideally placed for trips west to the Lake District, east to the magnificent cathedral city of Durham, and north to Hadrian's Wall. It's unusual in that you have to walk the last 240 metres to the house, though we will bring up your luggage in our 4WD. But don't let this put you off; please just read our reviews!

Quirky little hideaway in the Dalston centre

Recently renovated Annex, is well insulated, cosy peaceful. Upstairs, under the eve’s, original beams are exposed, take care as ceilings do come down low. There is a shower over the bath & separate wc. High quality Anti allergy bedding is used. Downstairs is a kitchenette with microwave, oven, two ring hob & undercounted fridge with freezer compartment. There is under floor heating or multi-fuel fire (please bring own wood/smokeless fuel). There is a tv and super fast fibre WiFi access.

Dating back to 1842 it overlooks a cobbled courtyard & has been tastefully restored to retain the original beams. Offering a high standard of accommodation for a maximum of four people & 2 dogs it’s within walking distance of the renowned pub, The Queens, Warwick Bridge & the River Eden.

Belonging to the 17th century Grade II listed High Greenrigg House, it offers all the modern conveniences whilst retaining the character of such an historic building. The ground floor contains an open plan living room, dining area and fully fitted kitchen. There is a utility room accessed via a low stone doorframe. The village has a pub & a small shop. A 5 minute drive from the historic market town of Penrith which has a selection of supermarkets, cafes, restaurants & amenities. Easy access to the A66 for Keswick. Very convenient to get to from the M6 motorway (junction 41).
