WINDY HALL - Secluded luxury with stunning views

Windy Hall is very special. High in the Cumbrian Pennines, it offers one of the finest views in England. Many guests just stay and enjoy the setting & seclusion, but we are also ideally placed for day trips to the Lake District, the magnificent cathedral city of Durham, Hadrian's Wall, and the castles & coasts of Northumberland. Limited access at the house means that apart from unloading, parking is a steep 240m from the house. But don't let this put you off; please just read our reviews!

The Hayloft

Looking for a M6 stopover, visiting Carlisle or exploring the lakes, The Hayloft is a delight yet it is within five minutes of the M6. Also just two minutes away from the main bus route from Carlisle to Newcastle. Dating back to 1842 it overlooks a cobbled courtyard & has been tastefully restored to retain the original beams. Offering a high standard of accommodation for a maximum of four people & 2 dogs it’s within walking distance of the Queens pub, Warwick Bridge & the River Eden.

Old Chapel is a cosy 1 bedroom cottage located in the heart of the quiet beautiful village of Hayton, we have a fabulous community here, with a local pub serving locally sourced food, Friday to Sunday. Hayton is a perfect location to explore the Amazing Lake District and Hadrians Wall in Haltwhistle is close by. The North Pennines an area of "Outstanding Natural Beauty" is a mere 10miles away from Hayton. So much to explore locally, beautiful walks and countryside on your doorstep.

Ghyllie Cottage

We are dog friendly! We are also child friendly! Ghyllie Cottage is a two bedroom, two bathroom cottage that is over 200 years old! Wetheral is just 3 miles from junction 42 on the M6 and the village has great amenities including a Village Shop and post office, Cafe, and a great pub just across the road! Wetheral Railway Station is a short walk from the cottage with regular trains to Carlisle and Newcastle. Easy access to Gretna Green, the Lake District, Edinburgh and Glasgow.

Top Lodge - Refurbished Woodland Hideaway for Two!

Top Lodge is a new cottage that we have completely refurbished - with reclaimed wood now covering all the ceilings, walls and floors! - and is the perfect cosy hideaway for two people. It has an open plan double bedroom upstairs with roll top bath. Downstairs you have your own fully fitted kitchen, dining area, sitting room with wood burning stove and bathroom with walk in shower. Follow the secret path into the woods, and you can take a dreamy outdoor bath under the trees!

Traditional English Cottage, Eden Valley, Cumbria

Gatesgarth is a 2 bedroomed traditional English cottage with self contained bathroom, kitchen & lounge, part of a 16th Century Inn, all overlooking the Eden Valley. Our kitchen has a log burner so you can unwind in a cozy atmosphere. This cottage has a private entrance and each room has a beautiful aspect overlooking the countryside. And you could choose to dine in our restaurant. Please check opening times as we do not open every day. Booking is also advisable.

Welcome to Garden Cottage — your home from home in Farlam Parish, surrounded by the North Pennines and rolling countryside. Set on our family farm near Brampton and Hallbankgate, the cottage offers a peaceful garden and views of the fells and grazing livestock. 2 Graham Cottage, Talkin, Brampton, North Pennines

Talkin village is a lovely location with a great pub. Our cottage is the perfect base to explore Hadrian's wall, the Lake District, Carlisle and the Pennines. We are lucky enough to have the Beautiful Talkin tarn just on our doorstep. The cottage was formerly the village postoffice, it has been fully renovated to high standard and is the perfect place to relax in front of the log burner after a day exploring the local area.
