Our Holiday House Yorkshire - Oak Cottage, Bentham

Welcome to Our Holiday House Yorkshire, Bentham - doggy and child friendly accommodation. We offer you this recently renovated beautiful cottage in the centre of the old market town of High Bentham. Surrounded by the Dales and close to Ingleton there are plenty of scenic walks, eateries and days out to be had. OHHY provides family and dog friendly cottages in the Dales, which we hope will make you feel right at home. We invite you to enjoy this beautiful area, exploring all it has to offer.

Garden Cottage - rural idyll with own paddock

Pretty stone cottage on the outside - modern interior and superfast broadband on the inside. Idyllic country setting with only the sheep and birds in view. Self-catering cottage with its own small paddock - perfect for 2 adults who want a quiet bolt-hole in a truly beautiful location. Sofabed can sleep third guest if required (3rd guest does incur additional nightly cost). One baby up to 2yrs free and travel cot/high chair also available. Up to 2 dogs welcome at no additional charge.

Half an hour drive to Lake district (Windermere/Bowness.) 10 minutes drive to splash park and Morecambe beach. 15 minutes drive to the historic City of Lancaster with Lancaster Castle, Judges Lodgings Museum, Maritime Museum, Lancaster City Museum and Williamson Park (with the Butterfly House and Ashton Memorial.)

Luxury 1 bedroom cottage set in idyllic location

Apple tree cottage has recently been refurbished with modern interiors and super fast broadband. A self catering cottage with its own small garden and driveway, set in bucolic countryside. Able to accommodate 3 guests (3rd guest with an additional charge) with a unique 'reading nook' which can be made into a small single bed for a young child. Babies up to 2 years old are welcome (free of charge) with a travel cot and high chair supplied. Alternatively, a sofa bed can be made available.

A Charming, Modern Riverside Cottage

Greta Cottage is a quaint, stone built, end terrace cottage situated overlooking a wooded open land alongside the River Greta. It is located on the edge of the charming village of Burton-in-Lonsdale. There are many walks from the cottage across fields, through woods and along the peaceful River Greta. It is in perfect striking distance for walking and exploring the Dales and Lake District. Ingleton, Kirkby Lonsdale and Settle are all within easy reach. The Three Peaks challenge is nearby.

The Riverside Tailor's at Wray

With its garden backing onto the River Roeburn in the friendly conservation village of Wray in the Forest of Bowland AONB, the spacious and characterful Tailor's Cottage is perfect for lovers of the great outdoors and wild swimming, cosy evenings in front of a wood-burning stove, long soaks in a real bathtub, and evenings at the welcoming village pub. Stunning woodland, hill and riverside walks begin at the front door, and the mountains of the Yorkshire Dales are just a ten minute drive.

The Roost at Greta Mount

Relax at this peaceful retreat in the Lune Valley , ideal for couples or families with one child , on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales and only a short drive from the Lake District. A Scandi style property situated in a two acre field surrounded by woods, chickens and wildlife. This spacious open plan lodge is well equipped, comfortable and yet offers a cosy feel during the winter months. In the summer you can enjoy dining al fresco on both terraces, designed to catch the sun all day.

Lune Valley Lodge

Enjoy the lovely setting of this romantic spot in nature. Aughton is a scenic village situated on the banks of the lune valley leading up to the market Town on Kirby Lonsdale. Walks from the village allow you to saunter along the banks of the river lune or through the picturesque Burton and Lawson woods belonging to the woodlands trust often known as Aughton woods. Aughton also has an beautiful old village church going back to 1864 and a recreation hall and children's play area.

Stay in a Castle

Guest flat in Hornby Castle, which is located in the picturesque Lune Valley, in the forest of Bowland and not far from the Lake District, sitting on a hill with dramatic views overlooking the Lune valley and Ingleborough. Relax, enjoy the local walks, including along the river in our garden. Hornby has a good village tea room & pub. Also a good village shop. Our TV is small and only runs off online apps. Remember it is an old house and can therefore be or feel cold.

Next door to a Pub quiet during week but can be noisy at weekends 3 min walk from Train Station with trains to Morecambe and links to Lake District. Next door to a pub and opp a pub Great walking area 20min drive from the Yorkshire 3 Peaks 10 mins from Ingleton Waterfalls. The cottage is in the small village of Gressingham in the beautiful Lune valley and Forest of Bowland AONB. There is easy access to both the Lakes and Yorkshire Dales national parks. In addition the attractions of Kirkby Lonsdale, the historical city of Lancaster and RSPB reserve at Leighton Moss are only 15-20 minutes away. Gressingham is a small, picturesque village and makes the perfect location for walkers, cyclists and those wanting a country break.

The Fenwick Arms gastro pub is situated a short 12minute walk away at the bottom of the homes private driveway.
