Situated at the start of the Wasdale and Eskdale we are perfect for anyone wishing to climb Scafell or just enjoy the two stunning valleys. Brave drivers and cyclists may wish to tackle Hardnott pass at the top end of Eskdale. Ravensglass village and beaches a short walk away, also set on the Fell above the cottage is the amazing Muncaster Castle and Owl centre. Children and Pet friendly 🐾👍🏼

High Eskholme is a detached cottage sitting in the heart of Eskdale estate set within the valley of Eskdale in the western Lake District, an area of outstanding natural beauty . On stepping out of the front door, there are walks for all abilities, over Muncaster Fell, a flat walk through woodland or walks along the river Esk. For the more ambitious, Scafell pike and the Wasdale Valley are just a car ride away, or Perhaps you would like to play the stunning 18 hole golf course, or fish the Esk.

There's a heritage steam railway line that runs near the farm, and there are several popular visitor attractions within easy reach such as Muncaster Castle, Beacon Museum and The Rum Story.

It is very close to Scafell Pike- the highest peak in England, Wastwater lake- the deepest in England and the coast is a 10 minute drive. The Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway, known locally as “La’al Ratty” is only a ten minute walk from the cottage. Eskdale Stores is open daily. The cottage itself has been recently renovated and has a secure garden with lovely views, ideal dogs.
