The perfect spot for a weekend trip! Super close to downtown and close to restaurants. Host communicated throughly. The place was just like the photos and had everything we needed.

My man and I had a wonderful time having a quiet and private weekend getaway. The place is so cozy and the hosts are so welcoming. It’s a beautiful view off the back porch. One of the highlights of my weekend was getting to spend time with Bilbo the cat. He was so snuggly and gave us a warm welcome as soon as we arrived! Would love to come back here again!

One of the best places we have stayed in. Easy to find, access using the good directions given. Homely place, clean, well equipped. Friendly, good communication. So, what is not to like? Kelly’s place was exactly what was pictured. Not only did my husband and I throughly enjoy the peaceful grounds of the farm, we fell in love with the view from the cottage. Kelly was an absolute godsend when I reached out for local recommendations in a wedding crisis! She went above and beyond! Her and her husband are beautiful humans and I couldn’t have asked for better hosts.

The place is lovely and exactly as advertised. Sperryville is a cute little town with more than its fair share of restaurants, especially on weekends. What really stands out, though, is Elena and Mark's hospitality. They were always available, and always helpful with local recommendations. It never took more than a few minutes to get in touch with them and they are a treasure trove of local knowledge that they share generously.

Once again we had a delightful stay at our VA happy place. Such beautiful surroundings and a charming house. Ann and Jim are wonderful hosts, Everytime we've been blessed to visit. If you're looking for a lovely place, on the lake, with exceptional accommodations and hosts, this is your place!

We only stayed for 1 night but would definitely have enjoyed more. Pretty much everything you needed was provided. The cabin was clean and cozy ! The bathroom was spacious and well stocked. Bed was comfy and big enough for our daughter to sleep with us. Surrounding area was simple and pretty farmland. We loved meeting Shea !

We spent our Anniversary in this charming cottage in the peaceful neighborhood very close to everything in Yorktown. The location was perfect and the cottage was very clean and well equipped with everything you would need to be comfortable. The hosts were very friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed our visit!

Beautiful property filled with wildlife•cozy & inviting•well maintained in every way•we hope to return when we can spend more time. Horses, hummingbirds and beautiful dogs were the icing on the cake. We didn't use the pool- but it is a gorgeous set up. Love everything about this space & grateful to have been there.

Our second stay at this lovely location. It's definitely a quirky spot, but it fits us perfectly. The kitchen is well-stocked, the beds are comfortable, and the living spaces are lovely. The outdoor space is great as well - the hot tub, sauna, and sitting areas are all very pleasant. Having the hosts "on site" - just across the yard - makes for very friendly interactions with them and their charming dogs. The location is just about perfect - close enough to downtown that you can walk if you're feeling frisky, no worries regarding parking, no safety concerns in the neighborhood, as best I could tell. A park at the end of the block with a playground, dog park area, disc golf, ball field, etc. Elizabeth and Vijay are also extremely kind and accommodating. They checked in with us regularly to make sure we had anything we needed. One day, I'll be curious to investigate their other property, but when we take a trip to Roanoke, we will certainly check their availability first.

Bluebird is truly a vacation paradise. The perfect Serenity from the craziness of the wedding weekend. Well appointed space and kitchen. Loved our kayaking adventure day and campfire nights. Truly a relaxing atmosphere! Great host too, we felt very welcome!

Really enjoyed our stay - we also rented the nearby "main" house and that was a great combo for our 3 family group.

Perfect home for 1 or 2 people. The reason for my visit was to help move my daughter home for the summer from High Point University. Location was close to the college and storage unit as well as great restaurants and shops. House was exactly as pictured and very clean. Hermina was very quick to respond to my questions. Highly recommend this place!

Freeman's little guest house was a perfect place for my academic work trip. The space is so well appointed I could focus to edit my lecture and other writing, dress to feel confident for various meetings with new colleagues across the university (with mirrors in all the right places), and hang out with friendly colleagues for a drink "at my place." Truly a versatile and beautiful space that feels like a home without distractions / a great boutique hotel / and a place to host friends all bundled into one architectural gem with beautiful details.

We had a great stay at A Place of Peace. The name is very fitting, it is so peaceful to sit on the porch and look at all the beautiful flowers and wildlife. We even enjoyed a visit from JD the cat as he curled up on the porch with us for a little while. A perfect location, close to many eateries, Walmart, Target, etc. This was our second stay here, it felt like home!

Freedom Cottage is as described. Host communicated very well. Everything that we needed for the stay was there besides food, which made it very convenient. Was clean, cozy, and quiet. It’s away from all the hustle and bustle of the tourist area which is nice. I would recommend.

Everything was perfect! The space was perfectly clean and had everything we needed. The area was quiet and peaceful. It was nice to meet Madison and learn a bit about their property and animals. The area was quiet and the view of the pastures was beautiful!

Walking in to peaceful beach music started the stay off on the right foot. It was such a nice touch! This home is clean and looks exactly like the photos. The waterfront is stunning and there are lots of seating options on the deck and by the water to enjoy it. Everything worked well and the beds and pillows were very comfortable. We felt right at home and checkout was a breeze. We plan to stay again next time we are in the area.
