Barn Loft in Cong

A perfect location to relax & explore Cong, Connemara & the West of Ireland. The barn loft is situated 1.5 miles from Ashford Castle/Cong Village. The loft sleeps 4/5 persons (2 double bedrooms, single portable guest bed) and has a large living space, kitchen, & bathroom. There are 14 steps to the entrance, which is lighted externally. Use of a large mature garden and a short walk to Lough Corrib. Freezer is available & storage for bicycles and fishing equipment. Free parking & dog friendly.

Wild strawberry Shepard’s Hut with Hot Tub

Beautiful shepherds hut powered by solar for an off grid experience along the Wild Atlantic Way situated on Connemara farm land located 20 minutes from Galway city and 10 minutes from Oughterard and Lough Corrib. Sleeps 3 with a double bed and a single bed. Kitchenette with running water and gas hob, separate fire pit/BBQ area and outhouse with toilet, sink and heated shower. There is a small wood burning stove in the Shepherds hut with kindling provided. Towels and bedding are also provided.

The Blue Yard

The Blue Yard is a tiny home on the beautiful drive-on island of Aughinish, 12 km outside the sea-side town of Kinvara, named one of the top ten beautiful villages in Ireland. Aughinish Island is accessed by a 1 km causeway (not tidal) and is an area of unspoilt beauty with local pebble beaches a five minute walk away and the sandy beach of Traught a ten min drive away (8 km). You'll be staying on the Clare-Galway border with both the wildness of the Burren and Galway city at your doorstep.

Connemara, with its rugged beauty, mountains, rivers, lakes and unspoilt beaches all from the doorstep, as is The Burren. Barngables Tiny Cottage is a cosy hideaway were you can really relax. The cottage stands in its own grounds alongside Barngables Stone House which is listed separately. Just a 25 minute drive from Galway City and set in Connemara which is renowned as an area with stunning scenery the cottage is in a perfect location to explore the West of Ireland. Lough Corrib, where wild trout can be caught lies at the bottom of our lane. Oughterard is our bustling and picturesque local town.

Situated 15km north of Galway City (just off the N84) and 3km from Lough Corrib our 48sqM apartment is an ideal base to explore Connemara, South Mayo, Galway City, The Cliffs Of Moher and The Wild Atlantic Way plus the wonderful variety of very Local amenities. Recently rennovated our apartment has a cosy but modern feel. Below our apartment is our vibrant music based community pub and pizza kitchen. A tidy workdesk and lamp is also available for remote working.
