We were cycling the Empire State trail and stopped overnight at Vicki’s. Her home is lovely, comfortable, and immaculately clean. It’s very close to, and easily accessed from, the trail. Everything was just as it said in the listing, and Vicki was very responsive in communication. We’ll gladly stay again.

Great location and well run and put together. Staying again and will do so in the future. Highly recommend.

I felt like family staying with Jane and Earl, but they were never intrusive at all. Most hosts are either hands off or in your business, and they were neither, just spot on terrific hosts and people! Would definitely stay again, perfect for 1-2 people and located 10-15 minutes from anywhere in downtown you’d need to go!

We recently enjoyed a lovely stay at The Carriage Barn in Guilford. Our host, Katherine, was very responsive to everything we might have needed during our visit: a very easy check in and out process, detailed instructions on how everything worked, items for our comfort (a gift of delicious chocolates, many fluffy towels, silky sheets, etc.), and was easily available via texting. The photos of her restored historic barn are very accurate - it's a beautifully designed renovation and is decorated with lovely art pieces, cozy furniture, and a huge library of books for your enjoyment. The tv works great and so does the WiFii. We traveled with our small dog and there is a baby gate available that easily snaps onto the staircase posts so I was not concerned about my dog's safety.. Best of all is the beautiful views of the gorgeous Vermont countryside. You'll see lovely sunsets here and spectacular sunrises. It's a great spot to truly relax.

Virginia was very welcoming! I didn’t realize when booking that the accommodations were part of the main house (the whole second floor is the guest suite space), with the kitchen space shared. This was by no means a problem and was user error on my part. That being said staying here was the closest to a true bed and breakfast experience I’ve had using Airbnb. Virginia had a nice light breakfast with fresh fruit, pastries, bagels and coffee each morning which was delightful. It was one of the cleanest Airbnbs I’ve stayed in. Highly recommend if you’re comfortable with a partially shared space. If I’m back in the area, I would stay again!

My husband and 2 year old stayed at Ellen’s barn for the weekend. The space was very big, clean and the bed was very comfortable. The location is excellent for exploring the area, we didn’t spend much time in the barn as we spent much of our day exploring. Would highly recommend Ellen’s place!

I had a wonderful stay in Carolyn's clean and well-located home. The bedroom was very clean and spacious, the bed was extremely comfortable, and Carolyn has given thought to all the things that make a stay comfortable. I appreciated that she made up a separate bed for my daughter. Carolyn is a lovely host.

We really enjoyed our visit and the house was welcoming, charming, very clean, and comfortable. The hosts were very friendly and flexible about our late arrival time. There was also delicious coffee for us in the morning!

It was an absolute delight staying at The Granville House. The hosts were friendly and responsive, the space was beautifully curated and well appointed, and the location could not have been better. The breakfast provided was super tasty (muffin masters!), and the dining room vibes were excellent — music, decor, & the overall aesthetics of this place blew my mind. You can tell Terry and Terri have worked in hospitality for a long time and put a great deal of care into making the guest experience superb. I booked our long weekend on a whim and am so lucky there was availability; I have already recommended The Granville House to several of my friends.

This is an excellent choice for anyone visiting the Hyde Park area. Best to rent a car once you’re there, but it’s very close to many great attractions. Troy’s home is beautiful and clean, with a lot of great amenities. He also provides great local information and he prepares a wonderful breakfast. Highly recommend.

Thia was my 3rd visit to Helen's. I keep returning there - it's so beautiful and welcoming. I feel at home there. My friend, who was there for the first time, loved it too! Oh, and Helen's cooking is amazing! Will come back again. Thank you for your hospitality, Helen!

We love going to The Journey Inn. Val and Eric are wonderful hosts and the accommodations are fantastic. The morning breakfasts are another highlight! If you are reading this review, please do yourself a favor and book!

As the other reviews have mentioned, John is a beyond excellent host!!! And very responsive! He is also very knowledgeable and helpful regarding shops and restaurants in Troy. Nigel and Margaret (John’s greyhounds) are also very good companions at this Inn! The decor in the rooms and in the shared rooms and hallways is just beautiful and very interesting! And he serves delicious homemade breakfast! With alfresco dining as an option in the warmer weather.

I can’t say enough about the beauty and isolation of this spot. Within a 10 minute drive there are a variety of good restaurants and shops, and Northampton isn’t far. But for walks in the woods, biking or looking at the mountains through the 270 degree window panorama, this spot is extraordinarily spacious and cozy. There are a number of famous rock climbing sites nearby. The bathtub is the largest I’ve used, not a jacuzzi, but bigger than most hotel jacuzzis. Plenty of hot water.

This is one of the most beautiful places we've stayed in. Charles has a designer's eye, and the general atmosphere of the bed and breakfast is luxurious. We slept so well and appreciated that pastries and yogurt were always available in the mornings for breakfast. We would definitely stay here again, especially since it's so close to Troy and Albany.

Kathleen was a pleasure to work with and spend time with. We were there in “off season” and we enjoyed having her spend time with us at breakfasts. They were doing some upgrades to the house but it did not affect our stay at all. It will be really nice when it is completed soon.

We were so happy to be back at Joe and Barb’s. Their hospitality is wonderful - from recommendations to bonfires to impeccable breakfasts. Already planning our next stay!

We totally loved our stay! The town of Norfolk is so quaint. But Airbnb bed-and-breakfast, we felt right at home really loved the breakfast in the morning when we all sat around the table and had conversations with all the guests that were staying. I would definitely stay there if we return to the area.

Catalpa House is exactly what you want in a small town retreat; comfortable bedding, well chosen amenities, superb breakfast, accommodating but not intrusive hosts, lovely common areas with local literature and current periodicals. It doesn't get better.

This is an idyllic setting for a beautiful home with super friendly and caring hosts. The large house, a retreat center with facilities for large groups, sits on a lake overlooked by a gorgeous modern treehouse. Tom and Ravi are excellent hosts and I enjoyed chatting and eating with them and learning about their vision for the property, communal and artistic, with nourishing food fresh from local farms, and a mix of interesting guests. This is the kind of place where you can truly unwind in natural green, wander the extensive grounds and connect socially if that suits you. The beds are comfortable, each room with its own bathroom, and the living rooms are spacious and with walls of books and artwork. Cannot recommend this place more highly. If you’re lucky enough to find availability, don’t hesitate!

In one word, cozy. Lauren and Blake's cabin was a quiet retreat, with a cozy wood burning stove, simple and elegant decor and the most comfortable beds our party of three has ever experienced. Only minutes to the quaint little village of West Stockbridge the cabin is a beautiful haven we didn't want to leave. We will stay here again.
