Jacob's Cottage

Free WI-FI now available. Our place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers and families (with kids). The Cottage is a quaint, Cape Cod style house built in 1950. It sits high on a hill in the heart of Maryland's Appalachian Mountains in Allegany County. It is surrounded by views of Wills Mountain and Shrivers Ridge. The Cottage sits amongst a 660 acre family managed forest. Visitors have spotted deer, turkey, rabbits, squirrels, black bear and a multitude of song birds.

Sweet 2 bedroom bungalow. Cozy, ideal for lovers, or a quiet beautiful somewhat rustic retreat environment. Rooster has 1 full bath. Living room with satellite TV, Netflix; wood burning stove fireplace, wood provided, fully equipped kitchen, dining table, linens and starter paper goods furnished. Large deck and screen porch looking out on Cacapon Mountain. Hot tub off master bedroom deck in trees, feels like a tree house. Many mornings mist rises up from river, half mile away as crow flies.

Grouseland's Pondside Vacation Cottage

Set about a quarter mile off the road, our pet friendly solar powered vacation cottage is a perfect getaway for anyone trying to spend some alone time with nature! Guests have complete privacy inside the cottage with a full kitchen, two TV's, Wi-Fi, and a mini split system for heating and cooling. As well as exclusive access to the hot tub, fire pit and pond outside! We also have various shared hiking trails through the woods surrounding the cottage for campers and cottage guests to enjoy!

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. Our Shangri La is located above Prospect Overlook. National Geographic Magazine rated Prospect Overlook as one of the five best in the East. Views include three states: Pennsylvania, Maryland and West Virginia; and two rivers, the Potomac and Cacapon. Our Shangri La is 3 miles from the town of quaint town of Berkeley Springs, 9 miles from the picturesque Cacapon State Park and Cacapon Resort and golf (Robert Trent Jones masterpiece).

1832 Historic Washington Bottom Farm Log Cabin

Welcome to our renovated 1832 Log Cabin on the grounds of the George William Washington and Sarah Wright Washington 19th century plantation. The cabin was the first structure built. Then came barns and slaves’ quarters (no longer standing). The dairy barn is now a woodworking shop and the bank barn was recently restored. The main house, built in 1835, is Greek Revival style. Today, our 300+acre is Certified Organic. We border the South Branch of the Potomac River. It’s ALMOST HEAVEN !

Tall Spruce Farmstead in South Central PA

A quaint old farmhouse in the hills of Southern Fulton County, PA. Only 5 miles from Hancock, MD and 12 miles from Berkeley Springs, WV. There is a small deck, ideal for watching the deer and other wildlife. Close to the C&O Canal Rail Trail where you can enjoy walking or biking. Only 30 minutes from White Tail Ski Resort, Ft. Frederick, Rocky Gap Casino, Hagerstown and Cumberland. Come and enjoy the peace and quiet of country living in the newly renovated Tall Spruce Farmstead.

This cottage is also within 3 miles of C&O Canal, 17 miles from Historical Romney, 15 miles to Cumberland, MD and 10 miles to the Paw Paw, WV tunnel. 2 kayaks and 1 canoe available for river excursions. Come enjoy hiking, biking, kayaking, fishing or simply soak in all nature has to offer in the backyard.
