The house is bright and airy with sun deck to enjoy the stunning panoramic views of the surrounding countryside, Dunnet Head and across the Pentland firth to Orkney, a perfect spot for birdwatching and boat watching and a great base for exploring further with a five minutes drive to the beach, forest walks, and the Gills Bay ferry to Orkney. North Brae Cottage, Staxigoe

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway which is nestled above the historic Staxigoe Harbour. The cottage would suit a family or group of like minded people looking for amazing sea views and nature on their doorstep. Staxigoe is the ideal place for cold water swimming, paddle boarding or kayaking. The beach behind the stack is the perfect place to look for shells or find hidden sea glass. Alternatively, simply relax in the sun lounge - you never know, you might see an orca!

Newly self-contained chalet with double bed and small double sofa for family of 4 or 3 adults! Surrounded by open countryside and stunning sea views, this is the perfect base for a relaxing holiday exploring Caithness beaches, brochs and breweries or for an active holiday sea-swimming, surfing and hill-walking. Self contained chalet with own key so you can come and go as you please, but owners are on hand to help with any queries and suggestions needed to make your stay memorable.

The Old Smiddy, Huna, John O'Groats

Close to the village of John O' Groats and on the North Coast 500, the Old Smiddy (an old blacksmith's cottage) has been beautifully restored into a modern home, while keeping many of its original features. The cottage sleeps 4 people in 2 double bedrooms (both en-suite) and has a fold-away camp bed for use by a small child. The cottage offers beautiful sea views across the Pentland Firth to the Orkney Islands and is the perfect base for exploring Caithness, Sutherland and Orkney.

Outside there is a private garden, parking area and decking with stunning open views to Orkney. Perfect for couples and those looking for a peaceful retreat, but can sleep up to 4. Dogs are welcome, and yes they will love it!!

This is one of the nicest houses in Thurso. it is located only five minutes from the centre of town and is a perfect base for enjoying the city and surrounding countryside. There is a private driveway and free off-street parking for up to 6 cars. This beautiful house has a full kitchen and dining area, a spacious living room and five bedrooms. Welcome! This is our quirky wee cottage. Originally a traditional Scottish but and ben it now offers a cosy getaway in the far north highlands. Taigh Neonach is Gaelic for odd cottage which suits its slightly unconventional character. A fantastic base to explore the North of Scotland, whether you are touring the NC500, relaxing in the quiet wilderness of Caithness, doing a spot of fishing, shooting, walking, cycling... the choices are endless like the views!

BERRISCUE HOUSE - ENTIRE COTTAGE - THURSO

Berriscue House is a beautiful, bespoke cottage - located in the centre of Thurso, hidden away from the world with a large walled garden and private entrance. Five minute walk from the beach. Everything you need for a cosy Scottish retreat! If booking the same day after 6pm please message as it may still be possible to book. If you require the extra bed in the living room, you must tell us in your initial message so we know to prepare this for you.

For those travelling the NC500 or visiting Orkney, The Barn is the perfect stopover. It sleeps up to 6 in spacious traditional box beds with two beautiful shower rooms.
