Enjoy fishing at the Chase State Lake just a few miles up the road or wade through the cool waters of the Chase Lake Falls and wildlife area. Located in a very old town.

You are renting a century-old homestead house. Bathroom on the main floor, 5 beds upstairs. If you are physically impaired, stairs may be challenging for you. Nice propane Grill, side burner & dishes provided. Mid sized frig. Good coffee. Fire pit. Boat dock with chairs, sunrise! Approval req for small children. No pets, No parties. High speed WIFI. On the water and nestled in the trees, its a great location for a private get away. The main level features two queen bedrooms, a TV room, bath, kitchen and lakeview room overlooking the large, gently sloping yard and lake. Additional sleeping with futons in the TV room and lakeview room. Enjoy brick-paved patio with colorful adirondaks around fire pit, a hammock, horseshoes, ping pong, charcoal grill and picnic table. You have the use of fishing poles, 2 kayaks and a canoe with life vests

Middle Creek Historic Ranch

Step back in time in an 120 year old farm house. Enjoy the view of Flint Hills from the many windows, while the indoors provide you with modern conveniences. Take a walk to the creek, or just roam the Kansas prairies. In the evenings, spend time around the outdoor fire pit, listening to nature and making s'mores. It's a short drive to Strong City and Cottonwood Falls,where you can take in some local history, purchase a few antiques to take home, enjoy a meal at one of incredible eateries.

The "Church" Guesthouse

Come to church this weekend . . . The Church Guesthouse in Cottonwood Falls that is! The Church is an artfully revitalized Presbyterian Church built in 1885 which now has four bedrooms and 2-1/2 baths and will sleep up to 10 adults. Two of the bedrooms ( with queen beds) are downstairs along with a bath and a half downstairs. 2 bedrooms are upstairs (two twins and one with a full size bed) the loft has two twins with a full bath upstairs. Parties and events are not allowed.

Guests will have access to the lower floor which includes three bedrooms, two baths, kitchen, sitting room, large family room, and utility room with washer and dryer. A large porch and wooden deck are perfect for sitting outside and enjoying the peace and quiet offered by this rural location.
