Exquisitely Restored 18th Century Tower House

Welcome to Fameliti Casa Torre! Enjoy your stay in our fully restored family tower house built back in 1790 which can comfortably host up to 10 guests. Tower houses are the emblems of Mani. Stone strongholds that thrust from the rocky land as if to strike the sky itself. Their height was directly related to their defensive ability, but also to the rank and social position of the family to which they belonged. Their construction drew inspiration from Byzantine fortification architecture.

Ο ξενώνας βρίσκεται σε μία ήσυχη γειτονιά με ευχάριστο κλίμα, κατάφυτη από ελαιώνες σε μικρά λοφάκια, στην περιοχή Μαυροβουνίου, 3 χλμ κοντά στο γραφικό Γύθειο. Η πλησιέστερη παραλία είναι η αμμουδιά του Μαυροβουνίου που βρίσκεται σε απόσταση 1,5 χλμ από τον ξενώνα, όπου σε κάποια σημεία είναι οργανωμένη με ομπρέλες, καταστήματα εστίασης ενώ σε πολλά άλλα όχι τόσο πολυσύχναστα προσφέρεται για ηρεμία και απομόνωση. Ο ξενώνας κατοικηθηκε για πρώτη φορά τον Απρίλιο του 2024.

Nikos Apartment 1 is in the ground floor of a building. It is lovely with all the basics. It has one double bedroom and a child can sleep in a portable bed in the living room. It is 200 meters away from Gnospi swimming platform and 300 meters from the center of the village with the picturesque harbour, all cafes and restaurants, supermarket, sweet shops, pizza etc It is not recommended for light sleepers as it is near the side of the road.
