We loved our stay so much that we booked a second visit almost immediately. The flat is spacious, clean, comfortable, and close to everything in town. Heather and Eric are clearly proud of their property and maintain it to the highest standard. We 100% recommend!

Super cute place and in a really good location! Lots to do super nearby. The towels/sheets has some stains and were miscolored on almost all of them which was a little odd but other than that the place was great!

Loved feeling like we had our own space even though this was apart of someone’s household! Loved all the intricate details and the hot tub was a great place to relax after a long day of hiking in the redwoods!! Definitely will stay again if we find ourselves in the area!

Katie was so knowledgeable on the area, and helped inform us on the area like no other local could! When we first walked into the house the smell of freshly baked bread filled the room. She made us bread to eat! I ate that bread every day I was there. Delicious. The kitchen was clean and had plenty of the amenities/tools a kitchen should have. We cooked every day rather than going out because we enjoyed cooking there so much! The rooms are tidy and comfy. The washer and dryer were a plus! Having the outside patio area was peaceful and nice to have. So close to cal poly and so close to downtown, yet with plenty of privacy. I recommend Katie’s place wholeheartedly!

My boyfriend and I stayed here for a few days while we hiked in the redwood forest. It was a clean and modern spot that was near local restaurants, stores, and gas before we set off on our day's adventure!

Clean, peaceful, comfortable.

Probably one of the most beautiful places we have stayed. It was more like a tiny house and it was decorated so cute. We loved that it came with a washer/dryer combo, was really convenient and helpful. Absolutely loved how it felt like home.

This lovely Victorian has obviously had a lot of love lavished on it. The furnishings were beautiful and comfortable. The beds had good linens, and the bathrooms had enough towels. The kitchen was easy to cook in and had plenty of dishes and supplies. The yards were well maintained and the back porch was a welcome surprise. Great house.

A beautiful, comfortable, and amazing place to stay. Had everything we needed to make our stay feel like a home away from home.

Staying at the Headwater House was a slice of nice—a spot of reprieve. The house sits on a tree lined country road, making for a trickling point of interest. On the backside of the house, a perching porch gazes at a meadow filled with frogs, grazing deer, and the orchestra of nature. Within, there is a bedrock color themed living room, a tool laden kitchen, and comforting charm throughout. My scheduled time out was exactly that. I can see why Brad is a SUPER-HOST and I highly recommend staying at the Headwater House.

Loved this place!! The home has alot of character and space. Big open living area that was very comfortable for my elderly parents. The home has several sets of stairs, which I was worried about for my mom. The stairs are solid, with nice handrails and the grip pads on each step. My mom was able to use the stairs rather easily. A nice little room off the living area to play board games. The kitchen is equipped with all cooking utensils. The bedrooms are up the stairs with two bathrooms. Nice size cozy beds, two rooms with TVs which you don't see often. Bathrooms have everything you need, which I appreciated. The house stayed very warm, even when turning the thermostat down. House is centrally located close to the freeway, and close to downtown Arcata. We would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful place with great water views. We are a couple in their 60s visiting our 31 year old daughter. Beds super comfy, home tastefully updated with quality finishes and old world charm. Very much like the pictures but felt bigger than photos. Well stocked kitchen. Quiet neighborhood. We would rent this place again. Highly recommend!

Colleen's Cottage was a wonderful place to stay. The kitchen was great for all the cooking did over the holidays and the beds are comfortable. Can't wait till the summer to utilize the grill in the backyard. It rained the entire time we were there as it was late December. I would recommend this place to anyone looking to enjoy Eureka and Fresh Freeze is only a block away!

Ian’s place is in a beautiful neighborhood near Cal Poly Humboldt. Very comfortable private home. Within walking distance to the Arcata Community Forest is key allowing for breathtaking walks in the redwoods from the home and back. Location is marvelous, also just a short drive to the quaint downtown. The home was cozy, clean and equipped with everything for a nice stay. I would be happy to stay again.

We had an amazing stay! The house had everything we could possibly need, and Jason provided clear directions and tons of local recommendations. The location was great and walkable to the beach. Would definitely stay here again!
