This place is wonderful - one of the best in all of Mindanao, and I have travelled to every corner of this amazing island! The setting is stunningly beautiful, it's so peaceful, the gardens are big, relaxing and so well set up - with seating everywhere and several excellent outdoor kitchens. The accommodation is great, especially newly-renovated Cabana 3 (but all of them are fine). The caretakers are helpful, kind, friendly and well organised. The owners are fantastic in every way - that's why they are so successful. The surrounding restaurants offer an excellent choice. Overall, it feels like a HOME. So, I recommend this place very, very highly!!!

Juvy and her husband were quintessential hosts for our group of Americans and Filipinas from the mining industry. Our fully stocked beach house greeted us with freshly laid eggs and homemade bread from their farm to table homestead. The remote oceanfront location was pure paradise for quiet solitude yet close to town for easy access to groceries and restaurants. We enjoyed ongoing communication with Juvy, who accommodated our every need. She offered personal tours and made recommendations for local sightseeing and eateries. An amazing experience even for well-traveled adventurers. Five + stars!

We stayed at Secret Spot for two weeks and had a wonderful experience. The villa was exactly as advertised — clean, private, and beautifully maintained. It felt like a little secret garden tucked away, perfect for slowing down, yet still just a short tricycle ride from General Luna’s restaurants, shops, and market. The bed was super comfortable, air conditioning worked great, and the kitchen was well-equipped (with extra supplies available on request). Wi-Fi (Starlink) was fast and reliable for both of us, even for streaming videos. The staff were responsive and helpful, and the host was friendly and easy to communicate with. We especially loved the regular visits from the local cats and dogs — they were sweet, gentle, and truly felt like part of the experience. One dog even made herself at home on our porch like a little guard dog, which we adored. We had no complaints and would happily stay here again. Highly recommend!

Stayed here with my best friend at the end of our Philippines trip and it was definitely our favorite stay by far! 🤩🥰 Felt like home the second we arrived. Super cozy, beautifully designed, and so comfy. The area is quiet and peaceful, but still close to everything we needed so it was easy to get around the island. ✌🏼🛵🚘 The breakfast place across the street was super good and convenient. The garden is like paradise. 🌴 We honestly found it hard to leave. Also, a big thank you to James, the host, who made our stay even better 🙏🏼✨

we had so much fun at Sir Dondi's place. it's a great place to relax and unwind that is not too far from the city. feels so homey and I love the antique vibe. Sir Dondi was very responsive and considerate as well as their care taker. Miss Hermes already, their cutie dog. Have already recommended this place to friends and family. will definitely book here again

Rebecca is an amazing host. She and her staff made us feel so welcome and comfortable! They helped us in every question or problem that we had and everything came with a smile. The home is so cute, really cozy and good for taking a break from the outside world . The center is really close by bike and the area is quite and nice. Highly recommend❤️🩷

The accommodation is incredible for the price. Chona is always very attentive and helps you with everything you need and more. You can really tell she cares about the people staying in her apartment. The accommodation itself rents you a motocycle in case you need to get around, which is super convenient. We felt like home! Highly recommended! Thans for all Chona!

I loved this place because it was set back from the road and far enough away from downtown GL that you could find some peace away from the busy town. Elena was very easy to communicate with, flexible with my changes in travel and also responded very quickly. I would definitely stay here again! Thank you!

Rosalie’s place was a great private beach house to stay at and will comfortably fit 2 persons. My favorite part was the privacy of the place and the caretakers were helpful. We cooked all our meals and enjoyed the ocean breeze. Unfortunately, when we went the winds were strong and it was raining hard. There were a few leaks on the outdoor patio. My partner enjoyed the very cool weather but for me, I was shivering. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

Super schöne Unterkunft direkt am Meer. Alles wurde mit Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet. Man fühlt sich hier sehr wohl. Es ist sehr ruhig und nur ein paar Minuten mit dem Motorbike von General Luna entfernt. Wir hatten einen unvergesslichen Aufenthalt hier und würden jederzeit wiederkommen!

The house is very nice and comfortable like a nature retreat place with beautiful garden to disconnect from the nosy city. The caretakers live onsite to fix anything. (Lolong opens and closes the outdoor blinds for us in the morning, evening, rain time.) Our 3 nights stay, Electricity was NOT available 24x7. Make sure your mobile phone, power banks, flash lights, head lamps are fully charged. (The town center people said “it is normal for this region NOT to have electricity for a several hours, 1-2 days without electricity during typhoon, WiFi and mobile internet is very weak.”) There is NO hot water shower unit. (The electric ball heater for the water bucket is not efficient as the previous reviewers said.) Faster method is to boil water with electric kettle and add hot water to the water bucket for shower. Else, boil water on the gas stove if there is no electricity. Bemwa farms (06:00 - 18:00) next door sells cooked food for 120 - 200 pesos. Better than the food in town center.
