Our 3-bedroom home is 200 sq. meters (2153 sq. feet) large and is a marriage between traditional Japanese architecture and modern technology and comfort. The home is accessible from Tokyo and other major cities via the Shinkansen bullet train or Joshin-etsu Expressway.

The Mochizuki district of Saku City, where "House of Waltz" is located, is known as Village of Horses and has long been a horse ranch where people and horses have a close relationship. To express our respect for these culture and history, we renovated a wooden house that offers a view of the horses spending time at a Equestrian Park. Within walking distance, you can visit Kasuga Onsen, boasting over 300 years of history and high-quality hot springs, a Equestrian Park, a tranquil park in nature.

Good access to Shimosuwa Station! We renovated an 80-year-old Japanese house into a traditional and clean space. (New open in 2023!) You can spend a comfortable time by renting the entire building. Recommended for families, couples and small groups. This area is rich in history and nature. Suwa Taisha Shrine, hot springs, Nakasendo. Hiking in the mountains and strolling around Lake Suwa are also recommended ways to spend your time. It's also great to explore the Suwa area on a rental bicycle.

Just 10 minutes from downtown Matsumoto, Yokoya Farm is a family-run working apple farm in the countryside. Our private kura (Japanese storehouse), next to our family home, was renovated into a guesthouse in 2018. Enjoy the unique experience of staying in a real farmer's kura with the entire building all to yourselves. Our apple orchard is about a 5-minute walk away. During the apple season (late August to mid-November), you're welcome to enjoy complimentary apple picking.

Otai-juku hatabo Located in Otai-juku, the 21st post town on the old Nakasendo route from Edo, this area was once called the “Princess Inn,” as feudal lords stayed in Oiwake while noblewomen rested here in Otai. In 2025, a modern hatago (inn) was reborn here—hatabo, a fully renovated private house blending tradition with comfort. Spacious and pet-friendly, the house features a 16-tatami Japanese room and a Western-style bedroom, accommodating up to 10 guests.
