The Maine Hideaway-Ketch Room

Located at the tip of the Blue Hill Peninsula, Brooklin, Maine offers a quiet retreat a bit over an hour from Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. A one-minute walk from The Maine Hideaway's doorstep brings you into the historic village of Brooklin, Maine and a close walk to Wooden Boat School. Our home was built in 1874, we have multiple guest rooms, all with incredibly comfortable mattresses and modern furnishings. We serve a continental breakfast Tue-Sat and hot breakfast on Sun & Mon.

Guest room in a private home

My home is located in a small town on a dirt road and very private. The rt 1 coast/ocean is about 25 minutes away and offers lighthouses, lobster and Maine hospitality. This guest room has a full size bed that is stacked with pillows and an antique quilt, dresser and closet space. The bathroom boasts of a shower as well as a claw foot bathtub should you wish to lay back and relax. There is a television, and an air conditioner in the warmer months as well as a ceiling fan as an alternative.

With over 800 ft. of shorefront, 3000 ft. of old railroad bed, and 40 acres of woodland, you'll never have to leave the property to enjoy the natural beauty of the Maine coast. A short drive will take you to Acadia National Park. A full, vegetarian breakfast is included.

Climb the spiral staircase to the second story turret tower which has a comfortable chair and couch, TV and fireplace. You will feel like you are on top of the world in this room with a king bed and En Suite bathroom with a shower. Breakfast is included with the room. Please see our website for the menu. Our in town location gives our guests a three minute walk to the harbor and downtown Bar Harbor. One dedicated parking space, Fridge, TV, & WIFI. Located on the third floor.

Cottage Apartment: Victorian By Sea (2pr.bath)

Enjoy a tranquil getaway in this peaceful coastal apartment with private entrance. The updated apartment is attached to a historical (1881) inn. The property offers access to lush gardens surrounded by forest as well a short footpath to the top of the rocky shore. Enjoy your own private porch or gaze out to the ocean views from a shared veranda. A gourmet breakfast with organic/seasonal/local ingredients is available for an additional fee.

*Please read all notes+descriptions* This second floor waterfront king suite is the star of our historic Main House-- with its own private outside deck! The room is decorated with fine paintings, has a king bed, day bed, a sitting room with a mini fridge, private bath with a tub/shower, and a TV. This rooms tub is an antique pedestal tub w/ no rails. No A/C, not pet friendly. Fans provided. Can sleep 2 adults and 1 child.

Come stay in gracious comfort in the Franklin Room at a our charming 1845 traditional bed and breakfast, strategically located between Acadia National Park and Mt Desert. We offer a bedroom with a queen sized bed and optional single pullout with a shared bath directly next door. In addition, linens, bathrobes, hairdryers and toiletries are provided. Breakfasts are to your liking with most dietary needs accommodated.

Charming 2 bedroom/1 bath on entire second floor of our home with your own private access. Your space is completely separated from our living quarters. No shared rooms or spaces inside the home in your area. Home style continental breakfast items provided in your room. Enjoy access to hiking trails from your front door. The Crib is 30 minutes drive from Bangor Airport and about a 45 minute drive to Acadia National Park.

Local quaint shopping areas and restaurants in Ellsworth and Bar Harbor which is from 15-30 minutes from our B&B.
