Every step of the way - John was a a great communicator, making sure we had all the information we needed for our visit and the surrounding area. His cozy get away, is surrounded by beautiful nature, very private and yet only 10 minutes from the town of Annapolis Royal with all the amenities. The open fireplace, with lots of DRY wood and kindling was a bonus as the weather was stormy during our visit. John also checked in with us a few times to make sure we could get in and out of the driveway during the storm. 2 lovely balconies would be perfect in the summer for sitting out and looking into the trees - and which we were able to use this trip for barbequeing in the snow storm:) Very dog friendly as located off the main road and km of trails right out the door for walking off leash or snowshoeing. Would absolutely return at any time of year!

I had a group of four families (with young children) stay at both the eagle and the sun house. The houses were very clean and spacious. We had plenty of room for our group and even had multiple unused bedrooms. The view is spectacular from both houses - especially the sun house. The pictures don’t do it justice. There’s no air conditioning in the houses, but we were kept cool by opening the windows and using the many fans that were provided in the rooms. It was fine during our stay, but I could imagine the upstairs rooms may get stuffy if you happen to visit during a particularly warm period. There’s a walk down the hill to the beach on the lake, and the beach is rocky so don’t expect to bring young kids swimming. Even if you’re feeling adventurous you’ll need water shoes to get around. Overall a great experience and a good way for a large group to visit Cape Breton

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Mary's place. It had everything we needed, including a nice big kitchen with a lovely view; it felt like I was cooking in a treehouse :-) Mary was very easy to communicate with. We would be happy to stay here again.

Was a great stay! Price was great!!!! Was close to neighbors ( they struck to themselves)and roads, other than that it was agreat get away. The house was great! The stairs to upstairs are a lil steep coming down, for our lil dog. The hot tubs jets not all worked but we just shared the spot that did work 😊 we definitely would rent again, PRICE was GREAT! Thank you for sharing your home with us 😊

Great spot to stay with everything we needed for a comfortable stay! Beautiful views of the bay and very close to the ski hill, which was great as we were there for the snowmobile races! The open indoor wood fireplace was really nice, not something you see at very many airbnbs! Would definitely stay again!

Barry was an excellent host and the place was lovely and comfortable. We highly recommend this place for anyone visiting the Bedford area.

An interesting location facing the scallop docks while 1 block from Main Street and restaurants (would recommend Bar Salvador for tapas and cocktails!). We were there off-season and parking not a problem but might be during peak season. The BnB exactly as pictured and the fireplace was great as the weather was cold and damp. Would go back.

This was our second stay and it was perfect. Such a cozy space, very clean, and lots of extra touches to make you feel right at home. It’s a great central location to do visiting or sightseeing from.

This was an absolute gem of a place!!!Loved the vibe, it was so cozy, open and super clean. The beds were comfortable as well. We walked everywhere as everything we did was in the vicinity. Can’t wait for our next stay

We had a very quick trip in Cap-Pelé but we were able to get some entertainment out of the giant projector screen before sleeping in very comfortable beds. Overall, the place was extremely cleaned and organized - would gladly stay again next time we're in the area. Thanks Peter!

Sarah was amazing and her place was fantastic!!!!! Sarah was so helpful and amazing to deal with and her place felt like home. We have stayed with her for some time for a work project and she accommodated our extended stay by moving us around to work with our new project without hesitation. Would absolutely recommend Sarah and her place!

Well done! Amazing location. Pristine. Great value. The private setting and beach access made this the best accommodations of our trip. I’m so glad we didn’t flip flop on the decision to book this place!

Melissa Marie’s place was perfect for what we needed. We received quick response to questions. Clear instructions to fine it and to enter. Everything worked well for us.

On the Rocks is a peaceful, magical place. It is modern but cozy and extremely clean and well equipped. Jerky and Stew are responsive and friendly hosts. This was our second time here with plans to return in the future!

We stayed at Dean’s place for a family vacation. It was the perfect venue for our holiday and had absolutely everything we needed to make our stay memorable and amazing! I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a private spot on the island with beautiful surroundings and great amenities. The entire place was absolutely spotless and well maintained. Dean was an exceptional host and greeted us on the first day to show us around and answer any questions we had about the property. Thank you Dean for the wonderful hospitality and enjoyable experience!

Our stay at Harbormist was one out of a dream Amazing space with such gorgeous. peaceful surroundings Well equipped, warm, inviting and one that was the perfect space to have a small, intimate family/friend celebration for my 50th birthday. Unforgettable and a place we would love to stay in again in the future. :)

Great stay.

Fantastic place in big pond. Out of the way with plenty of room to relax. Highly recommend for a quiet summer stay.
