We offer attractive self catering accommodation in a quiet picturesque rural Cumbrian village in the Lyvennet Valley at the northern edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Brackenslack Shepherd Huts is nestled between the Lake district and the Yorkshire Dales National Park which makes us a perfect destination to explore.

Cosy countryside barn retreat near Lake District

Tucked away in the peaceful hamlet of Reagill near Shap, Sycamore Barn is the perfect base for exploring the Lake District, Eden Valley and Yorkshire Dales. Set beside a working dairy farm, you’ll often see cows, sheep and the farmer’s horses grazing in the surrounding fields, along with resident bunnies and, if you’re lucky, even a red squirrel. After a day exploring, relax by the log burner and enjoy the peace and quiet. A peaceful base for adventure or simply switching off.

Comfortable converted watermill sleeping one or two couples, overlooking a spectacular waterfall, in the tranquil Eden Valley, between Lake District and Yorkshire Dales. The deep pool below the falls is ideal for cold-water swimming. Perfect for a romantic getaway, or watching abundant birds and wildlife, for honeymoons, anniversaries or engagements! You won't find accommodation closer to rushing water than this! No under 12s. Check in Fridays and Mondays only.

Tethera (Cumbrian for 3) is one of 3 brand new apartments in the newly renovated Cumbrian Bank Barn, 'Amma Barn'. This cozy yet spacious bed-sit comfortably sleeps two people and is perfect for a short get away to enjoy the quieter side of the English Lake district, the Westmorland Dales or the Eden Valley. Tethera has a warm and inviting open-plan space with a sofa, wall-mounted TV, King size bed and kitchenette as well as an en-suite with large walk in shower.

Located in the picturesque historic village of Maulds Meaburn with its free roaming livestock it is the ideal base to explore the Yorkshire Dales and Lake District.
