Kochylia trad.house 1- village view

With our 40 years of experience as architects in designing and development of tourist facilities in Skyros (Lithari, Pithari, Villa Madalena, Patriko and some others that are built now within the scope of European funding) in 1999 we built a little gem called Kochylia in Chora - which is the traditional car-free main settlement of Skyros just opposite of the church Agios Ioannis. Kochylia are 5 independent fully furnished apartments of different sizes and equipment. The walking distance to the main place of Chora is 5 minutes. Built in accordance with the strict skyrian rules of architecture and decoration, the apartments attract the attention of sophisticated and conscious visitor, who is willing to take a walk in order to enjoy the unique atmosphere of the traditional Chora and the location of the apartments. Due to the absolute tranquility, the strictly traditional ambience and the enchanting view over the whole Chora up to the monastery, in the high season, there are no parking possibilities near the building. However there is a steep concrete street available for transport as well as loading and unloading luggage. A private land nearby offers out of the high season 5 parking places for the neighborhood! The street requires a car with four-wheel drive. Long term parking is not allowed here. House 1: Entrance courtyard (13m2) with a small cafe table and director's chair , limited visibility through opposite houses. Ground floor (21m2): A living room containing a sofa, which can be used for sleeping, with a small kitchen, fitted wardrobes, bathroom with shower and toilet, a wooden staircase to the open gallery (Sfa) with a skyrian wooden wallcover (Bulme), a traditional skyrian wall shelf, skyrian ceramics, copper plates, traditional skyrian chairs and a table and a fireplace. Sfa (6m2): With the five-foot mattress (for lovers) on the wooden floor and wooden stairscase to the Terrace (11m2) with a small cafe table and chairs with a fantastic view of the monastery and the castle.

The house, perched on the rocks of Chora overlooking the beautiful beach of Magazia and the endless blue, is a real hideaway but also an ideal base for experiencing the island.The Aegean light, the sea breeze, the greatness of the sun while rising up the horizon,the peaceful colors at the sunset,all of it promises un unforgettable experience between the sky and the sea. Everything you need lies within walking distance.Together with Inbetween blue II, the house can accommodate 2-4 more persons.

Harites -Thalia

située dans un jardin de 4000m2 et à seulement 3 min. à pied de la plage, 20 min. de l'aéroport, entre le port et le village principal de Skyros. Bien qu'à proximité des restaurants et des supérettes, ces maisons en bord de mer permettent aux visiteurs de profiter de nombreuses activités de loisirs telles que la natation, la plongée, l'équitation et la randonnée. Rénové cet hiver 2020 dans le respect et l'amour de l'architecture traditionnelle de l'île. La maison se compose d'un espace ouvert.

The House Bougainvillea with its heavenly blue shatters provides a lot of space for a couple or on request we can provide a single bed for a child. House Bougainvillea has 40m2, a large room with sleeping area, bathroom with W/C and Shower and an open plan kitchen (fridge and cooking facility) and a large terrace (25M2) with chairs and a table, which has view to the sea and Evoia. The view is partly limited through house Pelagos.
