The location is a rural setting adjacent to a working farm, come and enjoy the unspoiled and breathtaking surroundings of the countryside. It is an ideal base from which to explore Achill Island and the rugged coastline of North Mayo. Ballycroy Visitor Centre and cafe 10 min drive. Greenway 20 min drive. Coastal Boardwalk15 min.

The deserted Dookinella stone village still stands in the field nextdoor. Keel village is a 5-minute drive with restaurants, local butcher selling Achill lamb and fisherman selling from boat. Surrounded by some of the most beautiful scenery on the west coast of Ireland. Looking out across the Atlantic Ocean at the Aran islands, gurteen beach and dogs bay beach. Hill climbing to the rear and beach walks to the front of the cottage, there are possibly few locations to compare with this cottage
