Really nice home-base to explore the capitol region. Within an hour and a half you have access to the Catskills, the Adirondacks, the Green Mountains, and Greylock. There are a ton of good food options nearby, too. The cottage itself is perfect for two people, seems recently renovated and well-equipped. Shower was a little too hot, but that's a good problem to have. Our small dog loved the trip and there's a nice grass area behind the cottage to take pups to the bathroom. Might be a little small for a big dog. You will probably see the neighbors at some point, they are nice and not nosey. They also have a dog, who is friendly and under control, but be prepared if your dog is not friendly. It's a really charming neighborhood, and stiill a thousand times more private than a hotel. I'd be happy to stay here again on a future visit to the region.

Our second visit. We picked a wet and stormy weekend but our stay was still wonderful. The yurt endured the rain admirably and I was again reminded that absent screens, a child’s wonder with nature and animals is a wonderful thing to watch and experience. Whilst the entertaining goats were the highlight for my daughter, I’ll put a plug in for the food provided by our hosts. Carefully prepped, presented so nicely and the home made items were again SO good. Go just for the breakfast basket! 🧺

This is our second time staying here when we come to visit family. We love the location, quiet and just a couple minutes from our grandchildren. Easy access, cute cozy clean home nice kitchen amenities.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Gloria’s apartment. The space was impeccably clean, which speaks volumes about Gloria’s attention to detail and her high standards of cleanliness. You can tell she is a true perfectionist when it comes to maintaining her place. Beyond that, Gloria is incredibly warm and welcoming, always making sure her guests feel right at home. She was extremely responsive to any messages we sent, and if any issues arose, she was quick to address and resolve them. The apartment itself is in a vibrant neighborhood with plenty of services and amenities nearby, making it a convenient and enjoyable location. We highly recommend staying here and would love to return!

We were so grateful to find this spot available last minute—it ended up being perfect for what we needed! The space was clean, smelled great, felt safe, and was in an ideal location. We appreciated the 2 bottled waters in the fridge and the loofa and soaps in the bathroom. For fellow dog owners: the space is one open room, so if your pups can't be left alone together, we recommend bringing a crate or a gate to separate the kitchen from the rest of the space. The only downside we experienced was the bed—others mentioned this in their reviews so we were prepared but it was incredibly hard and made sleeping difficult. If you're sensitive to firm beds, we’d recommend bringing your own queen-size mattress topper, or a blow-up mattress. That said, we will absolutely book here again based on the location, the cleanliness, and how safe and comfortable it felt for both us and our dogs. Thank you for a lovely stay!

Samantha’s communication and response was wonderful and I was so grateful I came upon this home in my last search to find a place to stay. It’s always a bit harder when traveling with pets . It was very clean and the perfect space in the perfect location for me. I highly recommend Samantha’s home.

Great location and clean simply furnished house! Not a lot of “extras” but comfortable bed and clean! On a nice corner lot and loved the windows. The bay window in the front room makes it cozy. Had a few different issues which the host remedied quickly! (Thank you!) Great place to stay while working in the area. Cute family owned pizza place across the street which was a convenient plus. We would stay here again!
