Our lovely cosy cottage, "the old byre", is situated in the heart of the Highlands, just a 15 minute drive from the main A9 and 54 miles north of Inverness city centre. With the surrounding magnificent scenery, wide open spaces and beautiful walks from the door, you may not want to get back in your car! But, if you do, there is much to explore locally, with fantastic beaches, distilleries, castles, golf courses, and much more. In 2021 we created 4 miles of footpaths, literally on your doorstep

The Hide - off-grid-ish woodland cabin near NC500

The Hide is a super get-away for anyone travelling around Scotland on the NC500 or on your own adventure looking for a unique stay. Almost off-grid, it has a comfy bed, central woodburner and spectacular view. It's the perfect stepping stone towards the full off-grid experience, intended for people who are curious about living the off-grid lifestyle but also like to be able to charge their phone, boil a kettle and have a hot shower! Mid Nov - Mar we have a winter mode as the water can freeze.

Cairn Pod

Love camping, but looking for something a little more luxurious? Then look no further than Cairn Pod. Situated in a picturesque area of Bonar Bridge Sutherland. Located in the heart of the North Coast 500. (NC500) makes it an ideal accommodation for exploring the Scottish Highlands for a short or long stay. The Armadilla Pod comfortably sleeps two guests which can convert from 2 twin/ 1 double bed. Cairn Pod is equipped to a high standard with private parking and luxury home comforts.

Cabin by the Pier - a unique seaside location

Croft cottage, 334 Kinnauld, refurbished in 2021 is situated in the heart of the Highlands, a 5 minute drive from A9 and North Coast 500 route. 50 miles north of the Highland capital Inverness and a 15-minute drive to Dornoch. The perfect stop for those interested in walking, cycling or wildlife. This quiet and tranquil cottage is surrounded by magnificent scenery and wide-open spaces. In Sutherland you can enjoy fantastic beaches, distilleries, castles, golf courses, and much more.

The Weavers Cottage, Dalmore, Rogart HI-00162-F

The Weavers is a traditional Croft cottage renovated in 2023 to an exceptional standard whilst retaining its original charm and character. Situated at the base of Dalmore Rock, it was built in the mid 1800’s from Dalmore granite. This cosy cottage is perfectly placed to explore the area, being only 15 minutes from the NC500 route and the Sound of Fleet nature reserve, and 20 minutes to Dornoch in the east. 15 minutes west takes you to Lairg the gateway to the west and north Highlands.

The Coach House at Manse House

Make some memories at this unique and friendly place. Originally the Coach House of the 18th century listed Manse House, the property was sympathetically converted in 2004. The property lies in the gardens of the Manse in central Tain. It has great access to the main visitor attractions of the Eastern Highlands and makes a great place to relax or to use as a comfortable spot from which to explore the Highlands. Pets are welcome. One bedroom apartment in Dornoch, Scotland

With views to the Dornoch Firth this light and airy, self-contained, one bed apartment is situated in a quiet and leafy no-through road serving a small number of residential properties. The centre of Dornoch and the Royal Dornoch Golf Club is a ten minute walk. The expanse of sandy beach and dunes is approximately, a fifteen minute walk. It is perfectly situated as a pit-stop for the NC500 or as a base to enjoy the hills, glens and coastline.

Relax with the whole family at this peaceful place to stay. Ruie Beag is a self contained part of a house with a shared access, plentiful free parking and good eco credentials. Four miles from the NC500 it is perfectly placed for exploring a large area of Scotland with direct access to the West too. Corry Meadow is a Croft that has Bees, Hebridean Sheep, occasionally pigs and a great deal of peace.
