Located just a stone's throw from tidal Porthgwarra Beach, this small coastal cafe with garden, is where you can find light lunches, Moomaid of Zennor ice cream, and homemade cakes - perfect for seaside family picnics. You'll also find traditional Cornish cream teas and freshly baked pasties. Dogs welcome.

Pretty beach and access tunnel in this historic fishing village that was regularly featured in the most recent Poldark series. The cafe is open during the season.

Late summer means only one thing on the Cornish ornithological calendar. Seawatching. On their day, Pendeen Watch and Gwennap Head, Porthgwarra, are arguably the best places in the UK for observing seabird passage and birders from across the UK congregate at these famous headlands generally in the hope of finding something rare, but often just to marvel at the sheer number of birds and range of species.
