You can’t beat this $5 lunch counter for breakfast or lunch which will fill you up for the day. Hotcakes or huevos motuleños are favorites.

(Cafe Economica is our nickname, its real name is Akumalito Loncheria) Located next to The Akumal General Store by the arch, it gives a good idea of what some of our locals eat, and has absolutely delicious and affordable food. Owned by Lol-Ha, it has delicious and safe food at very reasonable prices. Try their great fresh juices. Don’t let the local appearance scare you off!
