Cartlodge inspired accommodation

The Forge is set in the countryside of Tendring, a 6 minute journey by car to the beach Clacton On Sea. We have always been inspired by Tiny houses so we created our own compact bijou, a warm open space building that can sustain a 2 meter foot print set in the grounds of our country cottage. The accommodation is finished to a high standard and is completely new inside & out with light soft furnishings and a contemporary floral design bed linen to help you relax and enjoy a good night's sleep.

The Shed

The Shed has everything you need, a spacious fitted kitchen, a large screen T.V (WIFI} with a comfortable lounge area, two spacious bedrooms, 2 single beds in each room, wardrobes and dressing table. One shower room. A beautiful veranda, overlooking Weeley Woods. You can explore the Essex coastline, discover the beautiful countryside, beaches, golf courses or fishing lakes. The Shed is also close by to the popular wedding venue Villiers Barn. So come and relax and enjoy the beautiful Sunsets.

However there is a sofa bed in the living room so it can accommodate up to 4 people for a shorter trip. Forget your worries in this calm space. Our annex is detached from the main house and you have the run of the whole place. Set on 1/2 acre of land in the sweet countryside of Tendring Village with lovely farmland views. There is parking on a large drive. Please enjoy our spacious green garden where our chickens roam free. There's lots of walk’s nearby, including beaches just 15-20 mins drive. There is 1 large bedroom with double bed, with 3 small folding beds available on request.

Bijou cabin next to the sea

The cabin lies in the grounds of the hosts main dwelling which is situated within 200 yards of Frinton's spectacular greensward and beautiful sandy beaches. The cabin is within a very leisurely 10-15 mins walk to the facilities of both Frinton and Walton where there is an abundance of shops, cafes, eating establishments and entertainment. Further afield and depending on your interests there are many other outstanding places to visit which I'd be only too happy to discuss with you.

Wake up beside a quiet, secluded lake, push open the door of a beautifully restored 1966 Avion trailer, and put the kettle on while the wildlife gets on with its morning. This is retro Americana meets the Essex countryside with original fixtures lovingly kept, chic modern comforts added, and a large covered deck with a gas BBQ overlooking the water. Stroll around the lake, or follow the footpath through the farm to local The Haywain pub. Sleeps up to 4, and your dog is welcome too!
