Aqua park and Nature reserve is also close by. We are also a good base for exploring the lake district with Coniston only being a 35min drive. Scafell Pike is close by too with a 45min drive. Dating back to the 1600s with lots of original features including an exposed stone fireplace and wooden beams, this charming cottage is located in the historic market town of Broughton-in-Furness and is only a short walk to the Georgian square, pubs, bakery and all other local amenities.

Surrounded by fields & 500 metres from the centre of the historic market town of Ulverston. It is situated 10 minutes from the start of the Cumbria Way walk.

Reconnect with nature at this unforgettable escape. Our modern cabin is set in our ten acre small holding close to the south Cumbria beaches and southern Lake District. Relax and enjoyed our cabin, it’s deck and hot tub or sit in the orchard and watch our hens. During winter when our smallholding settles down awaiting spring it’s a great base to explore the area. You will be the only guests and have the ten peaceful acres to yourself. You may bring One dog for a small fee.

Relax at this peaceful place to stay in the Western Lake District. There are plenty of lovely walks from the doorstep. The King George pub is only a minute walk away, serving lovely home cooked food and real ale. The Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway, known locally as “La’al Ratty” is only a ten minute walk from the cottage. Eskdale Stores is open daily. The cottage itself has been recently renovated and has a secure garden with lovely views, ideal dogs.

The Tractor House

A family run upside down house on a working farm just outside the Lake District. The Tractor House is situated in the farm yard amongst families with small children playing. Expect laughter, fun and friendly farm dogs. Lovely views from the open plan kitchen/living area, footpaths in the fields right on your doorstep to neighbouring villages and the coast. Fresh farm eggs available from our 16 happy, free range hens.
