Mortimer & Whitehouse filmed Gone Fishing here and it's the home of Old Jack (Bernard Cribbins) in the BBC children's series Old Jack's Boat.

Quaint, rustic Victorian Terraced House

A quaint, rustic house with some modern touches and just a ten minute walk from the Marina and the delights of Whitby. I do not live at the property so you will have full use of the house. There is an open plan lounge / diner which goes through to a large kitchen. There are three bedrooms, one large but cosy double attic room with bath and toilet/ small sink, a room with two single beds, which is next to a newly fitted bathroom with shower and a large double bedroom also in the first floor.

Dating back to the 18th century, this wonderful cottage offers a homely feel with exposed beams and quirky traditional features adding to its charming character. Sleeping 4 the cottage has both a double and twin bedroom with a fully equipped kitchen, living and dining area on the ground floor providing plenty of space and seating for 4.

Runswick Bay - Top Gallant - with great sea views

Top Gallant and is down in the Bay. We have a great veranda with amazing views. WiFi and a Smart TV which includes Netflix and Prime Video. Bedding and towels provided. We provide a free parking pass for the (“Homeowners car park). 3 nights minimum booking. The booking includes a bottle of wine. No Pets. The property is not suitable for anyone with mobility problems due to steps and a spiral staircase. Check in 3pm. Check out 11.00 am. I charge no cleaning fee but please leave tidy.

Shared use of the front patio to enjoy the views. Well behaved dogs welcome.

Crumbleclive Cabin

Crumbleclive is a beautifully restored 100 year old cabin set within the dramatic backdrop of Crunkly Ghyll. It was originally the ‘Gun Room’ for the local estate in the 1890s! The Cabin has a balcony overlooking the gorge with the River Esk rapids visible at the bottom. Surrounded by Oak trees you will feel amongst the treetops as birds gather on the branches around you and fly through the gorge below. It is perfect for couples wanting a romantic getaway to recharge the batteries!
