Maria made us feel right at home. The place is incredible, and the furniture is equally impressive. We mostly followed the recommendations they gave us. The house is situated in a very safe area, just a 5-minute walk from a restaurant and a coffee shop. The beach is just a 10-minute walk away. It’s the perfect place to stay with a baby. We used the barbecue and beach chairs. Knysna is an ideal break on the Garden Route. We would have stayed longer if we could have!

Knysna is such a lovely place, with Thesen’s Island being my favourite area. Location is great, and is extremely safe as it is a gated community. The house is beautifully kept, spacious, and extremely well equipped with everything you could possibly need. The furniture, décor and general quality of the house is great (especially the lovely main bed!). Faith is such a lovely lady - full of energy and charm. She is incredibly helpful, responsive, and is such a delight. She makes you feel right at home from the moment you arrive, and gives an amazing tour of the house (and some great recommendations of places to go on the island, as well as in the surrounding areas). It was such an amazing stay, would 100% recommend, and would definitely book again!

Was für ein Highlight!! Perfektion pur für Menschen die Slow Accomodation lieben… ein Appartment dem nichts fehlt, architektonisch sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet! Traumhafte Terrasse, so gemütlich, Kamin, Grill, der Garten was für Liebhaber….-alles super. Die Nähe zur Lagune ein Traum!! Ruhe und einfach nur genial….

It was lovely returning to Christa & Josephs home. Joseph is always up for a good conversation & willing to share tips & valuable insights. Our stay was a wonderful escape from the demands of everyday life. The Hosts warmth is evident in their efforts to think of everything one might need in a Home away from Home .Thank You for a comfortable & restful stay.

The view from the house is absolutely stunning, and the location is brilliant. Morné responded very quickly whenever needed and was super friendly. Overall we really enjoyed our stay.

This was an amazing spot. Beautiful setting, close to the action and great restaurants on Thesen Island, but also far enough for a peaceful retreat. My wife and our two young daughters (4 and 6 yr old) loved the comfy and well stocked place. Lots of walks on the Island and plenty to do around the area (animal farms, vineyards, nature walks, etc). We would definitely recommend this spot and we’ll be back to Liddi’s place in the future. Wow!!

We have spent many holidays on Thesen Islands over the years, renting multiple homes on multiple islands. We have now found the perfect home for us. What you arrive to is so much better than any description or picture and exceeded all of our expectations without exception. It's a stunning North facing location with a wonderful view up the main canal. The home is very well appointed and most notably, for us and for my wife, spotlessley clean. Also very notably we were supplied with the small things that make a big difference and give you a sense of generosity by the hosts; toilet paper, dishwasher tabs, sponges, washing powder, hand soaps etc (you'll be shocked how many home stays don't supply the small things). We are so appreciative to Ilsebe for sharing her lovely home with us. 2026 is already booked. Can't wait! The Farrells

This space is perfect for 2 people for a getaway, the 2 patios were a bonus, space to simply be. This is a prime spot in These Island, in our opinion, the view over the estuary, the bird life, is magnificent and peaceful Short walk to the restuarants as the Quay in town. Access to the canoe, SUP Bikes and golf sticks was a bonus, we used them all and had great fun, without having to have packed all our own gear. Diane and her family and the housekeeper, Patience were fabulous, helping us with our luggage, cleaning and checking in on us regularly. We will return for the simplicity of being away without stress.

We had a wonderful stay for our honeymoon! The place was exactly as described—peaceful, relaxing, and just what we needed. The host was welcoming and responsive, making the experience even smoother. We thoroughly enjoyed our time and would absolutely recommend this spot to anyone looking for a quiet getaway.

Amazing space! Great location within the golf estate, with a lovely view from the balcony. Well designed apartment with excellent furnishing and decor. Walks and runs within the estate were great - safe and wonderful views. A short drive away from the beach. Would definitely recommend this space. We were very impressed by the attention to detail. We arrived late, but Olwen has ensured that we had the basics so that we could settle in, including a bottle of wine! The balcony had two comfortable loungers, table and chairs that afforded us a beautiful view of the canals, beautiful views especially in the early morning and the evenings. The bedding and towels were of a good quality. The kitchen had everything we needed. Internet was good enough to allow “working from home” through many teams meetings. Easy walk to many restaurants. Safe and secure underground parking. The apartment met all our expectations.

Perfekte Lage, nur wenige Minuten zu Fuß zum Strand, zur Lagune und in die Innenstadt mit Restaurants und Geschäften. Die Kommunikation war freundlich und schnell. Die Unterkunft ist sehr gut ausgestattet, sogar mit Sandspielzeug und Sonnenschirm für den Strand. Die Wohnung und das Bad könnte ein paar kleinere Renovierungen benötigen aber insgesamt nichts was uns sehr gestört hat.

We stayed in one of Tine’s luxury glamping caravans as the room on AirBnB got double booked. Tine solved the matter very professionally and upon arrival she was very friendly and helpful. Thanks for our short but beautiful stay!

What a fantastic place! The cottage is excellent equipped, tastefully decorated and we loved sitting on the veranda and enjoying the stunning view. Refreshing in the pool on a hot day is wonderful. Adele and Ken are the best hosts you can imagine. Super communication, very friendly and helpful

We had a marvelous holiday in a beautifully, peacefully setting. Noreen and Simon made us feel welcome, and were lucky to see the newborn faul "cracker" borned on Christmas.

wonderful farm setting to get away from the clutter - wish we had more time to explore the farms and surroundings. Amenities were excellent and as described. will always recommend to those interested.

Jean's house is the absolute perfect place for a family holiday. Lots of space, adjacent to a lovely, clean lagoon for fishing, swimming and canoeing; a lovely lawn for the kids to play on, a massive stoep (verandah) to spend the days and early evenings enjoying a braai and admiring the spectacular view of the hill on the other side of the lagoon, in the coolness of shade. The granny cottage in the backyard is the perfect go-to place for grandparents or parents to escape to. The location is perfect, on a cul-de-sac, near enough to restaurants and shops alike. To top it all, Jean is the perfect host and communicated accurately, honestly and immediately. Our large family of nine returned home, relaxed, happy and well rested. We absolutely dream of repeating our fabulous holiday in the exact same house, soon.

It was the perfect relaxing holiday setting in beautiful nature surroundings. We absolutely will visit this holiday home again. Craig and Theoline are friendly and helpfull hosts. I will recommend their place to anyone.

Linda was amazing- going out of her way to help us with additional nights after we ran into some issues. the units were lovely and the staff so helpful and friendly - moving our luggage to different units due to the additional nights. thank you!!

We love staying at Paula's place, it is a divine cottage complete with everything one needs. Set in a beautiful garden, which our border collies just love. We thoroughly enjoy our holidays at Paula's place and will definitely be back again.

Our purpose for the weekend was us attending my son’s wedding.The accommodation was neat. I saw too late that all bedrooms were upstairs, so my mom of 80 years had to find a different accommodation when we got there. That was my mistake for not reading all the details. We expected a lake view from the house. However, we had a beautiful view of the mountains from the 2 bedrooms and the garden area from the bathroom. The fire place on the stoop could not be used due to rainy weather. Belinda is very responsive, we had a small problem with having no hot water the one evening and Belinda made sure that this was fixed first thing in the morning. All in all, we had a very comfortable & cosy stay. Thank you Belinda.🙌🏻
