Overlooking fields, the cottage sits on the outskirts of the pretty village of West Overton, in a tranquil semi-walled garden, surrounded by peaceful walks. It's within easy reach of fascinating neolithic sites such as Avebury and Silbury Hill whilst nearby Marlborough also offers restaurants and boutique shops.

The Summer House

The Summer House is a recently converted guest house, self contained with fully equipped kitchen , beautifully fitted bathroom ,double bed on the galleried mezzanine level ,accessed by ladder stairs with vaulted ceiling creating a loft style. It is fully heated ,has wi-fi , streamed TV, and ceiling speakers for streaming music. The space is modern,bright ,yet cosy. Outdoors it sits at the top of 14 acres of grounds over looking the main house. There is a private entrance and parking on site.

With spectacular far reaching views Stride’s Barn is situated 9 miles from the Cathedral City of Salisbury and 15 miles from Southampton . An ideal base to explore the local areas including many walks, pubs , restaurants, golf clubs and other tourist attractions such as Stonehenge and Paultons Park/Peppa Pig World . Dating back to 1818, this beautiful recently renovated barn is the perfect setting for those seeking a relaxing getaway. With lots to do within walking distance including a national trust property, two pubs and a cafe in the village, we are also very close to famous and much visited towns and city’s such as Bradford on Avon (2.6 miles) and Bath (10 miles) if you fancy a day out. A great base for cycling/ walking/ exploring Wiltshire.

The Old School House

The accommodation is in an old Victorian School House, built in 1847. Originally, boys and girls entered through different doors and sat at separate desks. although probably huddling closely together around the fire in the cold winters. Today the building is divided between a spacious, comfortable home and a pottery. Many historic features are still visible. You're very welcome to visit the pottery and have a pottery experience.
