Rose Cottage

Rose Cottage is a 150 year old Grade II listed property, located within the Durham City conservation area. Swinburne Castle is perfectly situated within its own beautiful parkland and gardens. Traditionally decorated, parts of the house have tremendous history dating back to the 12th century. The east wing is extremely comfortable and private, and don't be perturbed by the stone steps leading down to the vaulted cellar. A delicious continental breakfast will be provided in your rooms. There is ample parking and a tennis court you are welcome to use. lovely footpaths from the house for keen walkers.

"HAY LOFT" quiet rural location, close to Durham

The Loft is located above our garage in a large garden and field totalling 8 acres. We're at the end of a farm track in the middle of the countryside, half a mile from the nearest road meaning ZERO traffic noise. The headroom is kind of tight along the two sides but, at 6 feet tall I manage okay. Perfect for two, but can easily cope with 4 people. The Loft is accessed by external concrete steps. The accommodation is not suitable for children but we've squeezed them in on occasions.

Maltkiln House Annexe is the perfect getaway for two people who love to be in the countryside. You can enjoy uninterrupted views sitting at the bottom of the garden which is your own space. The Annexe dates back to the 16th century and is full of charm. You can walk from our Annexe straight up onto the Cleveland way where you can walk or bike for miles. Our Annexe is a popular stop off for people walking the coast to coast. We are also very close to some great pubs and restaurants.

Our house is perfect for those wanting to live in a semi rural part of our region, with a hive of local amenities close-by. With easy access to major road networks and transport links from our home, We are in an ideal location for commuting to or exploring the nearby Cities of Durham, Sunderland and Newcastle which are bursting with culture and attractions. To the East we have the coastal town of Seaham Harbour, to the West we have Beamish Museum, County Durham and Northumberland
