There is also a wood burning stove to keep you cosy. We are in a quiet village called East Cottingwith: a fantastic base for visiting York and touring Yorkshire. Ideal for cyclists, bird watchers, walkers and anyone who wishes to enjoy a rural location close to the attractions of the city of York. There is no regular public transport.

No. 3 Alice's Cottage - Hot tub in private garden

A warm welcome to Alice's cottage which is part of Priory Holiday Cottages, self-catering holiday cottage. Built on the historical site of Syningthwaite the cottages are named as such because of their close proximity to the Syningthwaite Priory. Each cottage is named after a Prioress that ruled the Priory during its life time. Alice's cottage is a spacious cottage which has its own private garden and BBQ. A hot tub can be added to the booking for £75 per stay.

A beautifully renovated former Cow Shed with a spacious kitchen dining and living room, log burning stove and two bedrooms, en suite and family bathroom. A lovely cosy cottage to retreat to, idea for for visiting Harrogate, York, Knaresborough and Leeds or spending the day at nearby Stockeld Park, Harewood House, Newby Hall, Fountains Abbey or Tropical World and Roundhay Park. Wetherby is a lovely market town set on the picturesque River Wharfe.

The Gables, Tadcaster, LS24 8DP

The Gables is a 3 bedroom Edwardian villa in a quiet part of Tadcaster, ideally situated between York (9 miles) and Leeds (14 miles) and close to many popular wedding venues. Holidaymakers and workers are equally welcome. Parking is on the lane right outside. For those wanting to visit York, the Park and Ride at Askham Bar is 10 minutes away and a better option than parking in York. The Gables is not wheelchair friendly.

The Barn, North Croft, Wetherby.

The Barn is a delightful stone built dwelling situated in a large garden and is less than 10 minutes walk from the centre of Wetherby, an historic market town situated on the River Wharfe. Located just off the main A1 south to north road this is an ideal base for exploring the varied delights of Yorkshire and is the perfect gateway to the Yorkshire Dales, North York Moors, and the East coast.
