A beautiful location for a peaceful get away, the cottage is pristine and cozy, with many thoughtful touches. Great bedding, lots of comfy pillows, soft towels and high-end toiletries, plentiful breakfast items and snacks, new kitchen appliances, all the basic utensils plus a complimentary bottle of wine and fresh roses placed throughout are inside. Outside is a porch overlooking the pond, a small dock, fire pit, swing and lovely landscaping. This well maintained property is an absolute delight.

A really amazing place to stay with great company. Would highly recommend to anyone trying to visit raleigh cause it’s not that far from it but cary/apex had a lot to offer as well!

As soon as you walk into this beautiful and inviting home, you feel instant warmth and comfort. TRULY had every amenity you could want, with snacks and water as a bonus. Every room was spotless with clean and crisp bedding and the furniture throughout is comfortable and functional… Overall, it’s a fantastic place to spend quality time with family and friends. This area was really cute. The house was very well equipped, lots of additional items that made the stay pleasurable. The house and amenities appear fairly new and in great shape.

The apartment was perfect! The work space was great and it already has a display screen. Mohmeet checked in during my stay and was very proactive. I will definitely stay here again. The walls are pretty thin. It didn’t bother me, but if you’re a light sleeper it could be a bother.

Jeanette’s place was perfect! Super peaceful and quiet, amazingly clean, and had everything we needed for a relaxing and comfortable stay. Jeanette was very friendly, responsive and accommodating. We 100% recommend and would love to stay here again next time we’re in the area :)

This house was exactly as pictured with good space for four of us to all have our own room. It was well equipped with supplies and Mary/Joe were very responsive and helpful.

The Farm Stay studio was perfect! It was beautiful and bright and cozy, with gorgeous views of the farm and pond. The use of space was incredible with every amenity needed available. Great shower as well! Betty sent us so many ideas of places to see in the area and was a wonderful host! We hope to stay again when we return to the area.

Dovefield Cottage is a quaint little cottage on a beautiful piece of property. Erin was quick to respond to any questions that we had. We will definitely be back!

This was not my first stay at the Scout House, and it will not be my last. Everything about it is perfection - from the location, to the property, to the sensational hosts (Marie & BJ). My stay was delightful in every way and I cannot wait to return!

Cozy, peaceful, idyllic, and serene escape. We loved it! Our dog loved it too; sorry that she barked at the horses constantly. We really enjoyed all the extra snacks too.!

This place is heaven on earth. Check in was a breeze. The custom log cabin in beautifully appointed; dark wood and amazing lighting and artwork. The personal touches are so beautiful. Everything we needed was there, including in the kitchen. Spotlessly clean inside and out. Sadly I had to work remotely the entire time; internet made that happen seamlessly. The best part for us was the outside. Wraparound deck with a gorgeous view of the lake, with a charcoal grill and firepit. The floating dock was also immaculately clean and has chairs, at least one table, a "tiki bar", and even a little slide into the water for the kiddos if you go in the warm weather. I did yoga at sunrise on the dock, watching the sun come up over the river. Amazing. The hosts respected our privacy and were available for messages and responsive. I can't wait to return. Almost hate writing this review because I want it to be available next time we return. Five stars for sure. You're going to LOVE it!

Though I live close by in Cary, I needed a quiet retreat to finish writing my book and Barbara's place was perfect! Thoughtful touches throughout the home, incredibly clean, the kitchen is stocked with everything you might need to cook as if you were at home, and Barbara's communication was exceptional. I highly recommend this place for everyone as it's great for solo travelers, couples, or families. Make sure you have a sit in the hanging chair in the living room - it's delightful :) Thanks, Barbara!

Our family is truly grateful to Ms Betty for allowing us to stay at her magnificent, secluded home. We were captivated by its beauty from the moment we arrived. After settling in, Jerry took us on a tour of the property, and his passion for the land shone through as he shared its history and pointed out various highlights. Our adventure began with a thrilling pond-hopping excursion to explore the stocked ponds on the property. To our delight, within the first hour, my wife caught an impressive 6.44-pound bass—a memory we’ll cherish forever! We fished until dark and later gathered around the cozy fire pit for s’mores. One of the trip’s most memorable moments was feeding the horses some carrots we picked up at the local grocery store. The cows were beautiful as well. Our entire family enjoyed every aspect of this delightful getaway. Once again, our sincere thanks to Ms Betty for her warm hospitality. We can’t wait to return to this peaceful haven in the future!"

I live not too far from the area but wanted a little getaway to relax and enjoy some time alone. The place is absolutely beautiful, quiet and peaceful. I will definitely be back!

Shane was an excellent host from beginning to end! The cabin is very private and peaceful with a great view of the lake and lots of amenities. I would definitely stay again.
